The beauty and makeup brand Jouer has launched their own subscription box!

The Cost: $45 a quarter

The Products: “Each selection is determined by responses to our quiz, providing you with an assortment of full size Jouer essentials most flattering for your coloring and suitable for your skin type.

Each curated box is accompanied with a mini magazine providing product details and application tips. Jouer delivers the most advanced skincare benefits, effortlessly luxurious colors, in smart on-the-go packaging.”

FYI – before you sign up for the subscription, make sure to create an account on their site. (When you are actually purchasing the Matchbox subscription, there is no field to enter your email address, but I created an account and made sure I was signed in when I bought a subscription, and I did receive an email order confirmation).

What do you think of this new subscription? I love that they customize your makeup based on if your skin is warm or cool toned. I’m really excited to see what comes in my first box!

  2. Just got my COOL box and liked every single thing it. TBH this one of my favorite beauty boxes I’ve received. High quality makeup & its packed really pretty. Only complaint, some of the colors were bright pink….but didn’t appear so bright once applied. I had never tried any of their makeup until now & after this box will be buying more from them.

  3. I received the cool box I like everything in it but didn’t get the bag, maybe that was random?

  4. Has anyone else not received shipping info yet? I ordered on 3/29 and the order is listed as completed on their site but tracking info is N/A. Seems like most people have their boxes already!

    • Make sure you check your e-mail. They sent out a request if you ordered the box asking if you are cool or warm. Think they send out the box once they get the answer?

  5. Some of the instagram spoilers show “it bag” cosmetic bag with the box, some don’t. I’m curious if anyone who has already received their box has gotten one?

    • No makeup bag in my box.

    • Mine didn’t have one.

      • Thanks for the replies, I thought it was unlikely as they are expensive bags. I do think it’s a little misleading, but the makeup selections look fantastic. I’m excited to get mine. Also for those who missed out, Jouer commented that it should be restocked mid next week.

        • I received my box today, it did include the leopard print “it bag”. My box was the warm tone bag, I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

          • I received mine today also, and it did have the same bag. It’s a cloth bag, but it retails for $28 on the website. The other it bags retail for $50+. I also had the “warm” collection.

            I am so excited about this box, it’s a tremendous value if you like Jouer. Here’s what I got:
            Daily repair oil: Full size! value-$48
            Creme Eyeshadow Crayon: Full size! value-$24
            Hydrating lipstick: Full size! value-$24
            Mineral Powder Blush: Full size! value-$26
            Perfume oil: sample size, full size is $42
            Travel eyelash curler, not on the website so not sure of value
            blush brush:$14 if its the same size as on website
            and the It Bag: value $28

            That’s a $164 value, not including the perfume and curler, and everything is high quality and stylish: love!

  6. I received my box today. This is what was in my cool tone box. A travel eyelash curler, blush brush, tiny roller ball perfume, daily repair treatment oil, eyeshadow crayon in abstract, blush in peony, hydrating lipstick in Whitney. The packaging is gorgeous.

    • Sounds pretty, what was the color of the eyeshadow stick?

      • The color of the stick is abstract which is a soft black with a slight shimmer. I can only use it as a liner.

  7. uugghhh, bc I didn’t set up an account b4 ordering LeMatchbox and an apparent glitch I just found out that I have 2 orders. Time to call CS hope they respond quickly.

  8. I got my box, love living in LA this week with Jouer and Rachel Zoe shipping!
    Retail value of $132 not including perfume sample.
    I got travel eyelash curler, brush blush, full size daily treatment oil, full size lipstick, full size eyeshadow crayon, and fullsize blush!!!

    • I miscalculated, the value is closer to $150. :0)

  11. Bummer, I just got back from a trip and went to sub and it sold out. Hopefully they open subs up again, I love their products!

  12. In my haste, I did not follow Liz’s suggestion to create an account first, but I emailed CS and they were able to link my account to my purchased box. They also asked if I wanted the warm or cool. I am always so relieved when a sub proves to have good customer service!

    • Same here, glad I’m not the only one who can’t follow a simple instruction lol! I got a similar email and they are shipping these out this week. I hope they work out that issue because the sign up process was a little lacking. The customer service was excellent however. April is going to be wall to wall boxes.

  13. I emailed them to confirm when this will be shipping and to confirm my “cool box” order. They emailed me back right away and advised that the boxes will be going out this week and to expect an email with shipping information soon. I don’t subscribe to any other boxes like this now so I’m excited to try this one out!

  16. I’m excited about this one. I’ve always like the samples I’ve received of their products in other boxes. And it’s nice that they will be customized to an extent. Signed up as soon as i saw this.

  21. Is anyone having problems signing up? I’ve tried trice & when I enter my information its just ends up giving me an error information tag after I try to process my payment information.

  25. Did everyone who signed up receive an official confirmation email? I typed in all my info, but at the end I got both an error message and a “Thanks!” message. I have not received an email, so I have no idea if I’m actually signed up yet…

    • I had the same thing happen to me and I have a pending charge for $45 on my cc. I emailed CS to verify.

    • Same. My card was charged x2 & got the error message. It only took my payment information but didn’t ask for shipping address or any other information.

    • I had the same experience. Not sure if I should re enroll but don’t want to get charged twice. If anyone gets new info on this please share. Thanks.

      • I called their CS & realized I had placed 2 orders, its why my card was charged x2. They cancelled the 2nd order & made sure my first stayed. They have really nice CS & they fixed my mistake. Got excited & ordered before seeing the bold print where Liz told us to register first.

  26. When I clicked the link on mobile I was asked my eye color, skin type, lip color preference, and a few others…You may want to try mobile to get a better quiz then just cool/warm.

    • It’s the same quiz, I think Liz just means that at the end, all it tells you is whether you’re cool/warm toned (rather than determining your specific skin shade).

    • I’m not sure since the quiz just took into account warm or cool skin tone, but not actual skin tone shade. Maybe they will follow up with subscribers for more skin tone color details though. I think that would be great! πŸ™‚

  29. I’m very tempted by this. Particularly as I’m done with Glossybox.
    I never wear powder cosmetics, though. Only cream blush, eyeshadow, highlighter etc. I wonder if I’ll be stuck with lots of products that are the right shade but the wrong format for me?

  31. I love Jouer! And I am so interested because it is not sold in any of the department stores in my area so it is not easy to come by. I have 2 products from them and love them.

  33. I think this has the potential to be an amazing box. I would jump on it if I didn’t have to be careful about ingredients and using no eye products. I did receive a few Jouer products through sub boxes that I was able to use and liked them.

    • Doing the same… I am very tempted due to knowing that the first box will be amazing, but I’m never I’ll get a box full of lip products that I really don’t need!
