1UP Box Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included. And on the flip side of the March card is an April spoiler:

The April box will include a Funk POP and an exclusive shirt.

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Wallet

The Corrupted Legendary Warrior Poster (14.5" X 6.5")

EV!L Companions The Legend of Greed Wallet

The wallet isn't listed on the card, and I can't find either of these items online, so I'm assuming they are exclusives to the box. (I also am not sure how to estimate the values on them).

In general I prefer when subscriptions ship posters rolled instead of folded, but that is a minor complaint!

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Tee

1Up Box Exclusive Share A Joke Shirt - Value $12?

(65% Polyester, 35% Ringspun Cotton)

The fabric on this shirt is really soft and somewhat thin - a nice change from the usual heavy cotton tees in these kind of boxes!

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Ghost

The Dark Lord Spade Decal

Spoo-Key Cover

These might be exclusive items too - so I guess I won't be listing values for most of the items in this box. I think these are both fun items and work well with the theme. The key cap definitely takes me back to my childhood!

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – March 2015 POP

Harley Quinn Pocket POP Keychain - Value $6

Joke's On You Whoopie Cushion

I love all the POP minis I've seen - they are so cute! (And I guess whoopie cushions are popular in geeky boxes this month - this is one of several we've received thanks to Nerd Block!)

Verdict: Since I could only find the value of one of the seven items in this box, I can't do a value breakdown of this month's box. I think it is definitely worth the $19 cost though. And of course we're already excited about the POP in April's box!

What did you think of the Villain 1UP Box?

Hmmmmmm, not sure if I like this box or not. I think I’m leaning toward no! I will however give it another chance after that no more chances. The Whoopy cushion it came this was tore. So real funny that was. Some of the things in the box took a while to figure out what they were. The key head would have been nice several years ago but, now that the top of keys have changed it no longer will work. At least I did receive a t-shirt that was okay. So I guess not a total bust!!!!

I think this is a fun box and a great deal for the price! Anytime there is a t-shirt, I always feel like I got my $20 worth.

I really wish boxes that have themes would make it easier to skip or cancel. No one in my house cares about any superheroes, so I know I don’t want the next box. On the other hand, I cancelled Loot Crate because I wasn’t interested in themes, and now the Fantasy theme is exactly what I’d like. I like 1Up usually and hate to cancel, but I hate it more that all these boxes have login systems and dashboards, but won’t let you cancel online.

There is Herocrate that you may be interested in, not a subscription box and a bit more but they are truly amazing.

April Fool’s Day is coming up. That might account for the prevalence of whoopie cushions.

This month was well received by my 13yo son. The keychain immediately went on his backpack. It will be our last month however as we had this, loot crate and arcade block and my son concluded he had too much “stuff”. Loot crate came out the victor.
