Spa Heroes Subscription Box Review - February 2015 Serum

Laurel Antioxidant Facial Serum - FULL SIZE! Value $80

This serum is made with organic ingredients and it has a lovely natural scent. It absorbs into the skin quickly too.

Laurel Honey Enzyme Mask - Sample

Laurel Eye Serum - Sample

I'm not sure if Spa Heroes always includes additional samples from the featured brand each month. I hope they do though! This serum is a little oilier than the face serum, and I can't find it on their site, so I'm not sure how to estimate value. The honey mask smells like a delicious berry jam! It is super sticky though, so I will have to only use it in the shower.

Verdict: To truly evaluate skin care items I usually need a full-size version so I can use it for weeks, and I love that Spa Heroes sends a full-size item each month. Of course, the risk with that is that if you don't like the product, then the box is a complete bust. I'm happy with the serum selection this month, and we'll see how I feel about future months! The value, of course, is good too - double what I paid.

What do you think of Spa Heroes?

It’sreally enjoy this box will be my 3rd box I saw a review months back. I have loved everything so far especially the eye cream from my first box. That box had three times the value and I couldn’t believe the retail but it smells sooo good and fresh. This box is also good. It’s one of my first subs to get early in the month and they even sent me a cute spa hero mask. I was weary on price, It is my most expensive box and if Spa Heroes would offer a half off first months box, my friend would surely sign up. It’s a great box. The packaging of products are super luxe too. The eye creams and hair serums etc look so nice on my vanity. I’m a sucker for luxe packaging. 😉

Hello – Jeannie here, founder of Spa Heroes. Thank you Liz for reviewing our February box – I know you will fall in love with the Laurel Facial Serum. Lily and Cindy bring up excellent questions and comments. Lily – I hear you about taking a risk. The good news is that we have a team of over 30 Spa Experts who test, evaluate and select every single product we deliver in our Expert Selection box. After testing hundreds of spa products for luxury spas, the bar is ridiculously high so I can be sure my subscribers are happy. And if not, I’ll give you a free month (which has yet to happen I’m pleased to report). Cindy – the difference between BeautyDNA and Spa Heroes is that we only include products with non-toxic ingredients. As Liz mentions in her review, we provide detailed information about each product so that you feel confident that not a single “villain” ingredient is touching your skin. Our products are the freshest batch of a full size, top selling Hero Product that is non-toxic which separates us from other services. Please sign up to get our FREE Ingredient pocket guide here: https://www.spaheroes.com/how-it-works/free-guide/ – Lastly, yes Liz, we include a surprise ‘Sidekick’ to the full size product every month. Keep the questions coming and Hero On!

Liz: Thank you for reviewing this box. I’ve been curious about this box for months. For $39.95 a month this box is to much of a surprise on one full size item I might not like, so I will be skipping subscribing for now. 2 full size items, or a lower price point I might consider it. I think I’m just getting pickier from getting to many boxes with similar price points that offer more then 1 full size item.

Cindy

Seems similar to BeautyDNA but without the personalization and with higher cost. What am I missing?
