Allure Sample Society August 2014 Spoilers

Thanks Lacey for sharing the first March 2015 Sample Society spoiler with us! (This spoiler was revealed through the latest issue of Allure Magazine). Each box will include:

Sample Society March 2015 Spoiler Benefit Sample Society March 2015 Spoiler Mascara

Benefit's new Roller Lash Mascara. (These pictures are from Allure Magazine - I'm assuming the mascara will be sample-sized for subscribers).

What do you think of the first spoiler? I really want to try this mascara (I love trying out new mascaras), so I'm excited!

Hey ladies, I just wanted to mention that I really enjoy this site (MSA) and it makes me sad to see everyone arguing about, well, nothing. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and just trying to be helpful. I always enjoy my SS subscription. I wish we would all show each other some respect and kindness, as there is enough nastiness in the world. Enjoy your day=-)!

Thanks to those who advised we can get a sample of this at Sephora or Ulta. I have both nearby so I will attempt to get my sample there. I am getting overloaded with beauty products so don’t really want to sign on for another box. But I would like to try this.

I didn’t notice if someone mentioned this already, but there’s usually one or two full sized items in the sample society box. Just sayin, may be a full size

As others mentioned, it is being handed out for free at Sephora and Ulta. UK’s ELLE magazine is also giving it out for free to all their March subscribers. Some BB members already scored a sample of this $24 mascara. I went to a Benefit event that handed this out along with “Puff Off” for free (it does not look cute like the bottle pictured if it is a sample – the cap has no design on it).

So I have to purchase items at Sephora/Ulta to get “free” samples, pay and subscribe to a magazine to get “free” samples, or attend an event that may cost money or at the very least my time, add in driving to these. Seriously, I wish people would stop comparing this to a subscription service. Sure, I might get the same things, but I don’t have to drive there or spend time/additional money.

I didnt have to buy anything at Ulta or Sephora. I just asked and they gave it to me.

Natasha

No reason to be so harsh. I was not comparing anything (I don’t know how that was derived from the post honestly). The event was free (Benefit has an event finder on their website). The sample at Sephora was free as well (didn’t purchase anything – was just near it when shopping and went in). No one is insulting the product or those that want to buy a subscription to SS. Many, like myself, are just informing others that this particular sample is available from multiple places for free (in case they DO live close to an Ulta, Sephora, Benefit event, etc.), yet don’t want to subscribe. Some might just want to see a different spoiler.

Just wanted to give a friendly reminder that many people don’t live in areas with “events” that give out freebies. The closest Ulta store for me is a 2 hour drive. The people that are receiving these products for free without purchase should count themselves as lucky, but not the majority. 🙂

After the experience last month – where they “forgot” to send an item, only they didn’t have it to send and failed to send a replacement – I wouldn’t subscribe back no matter how good the spoilers. You really can’t trust they’ll send the stuff 🙁

I’m a subscriber and didn’t realize there was an item missing…..what item was forgotten?

The StriVectin serum wasn’t included in many of the boxes. /After/ they mailed them, they sent an e-mail saying it was not included “by error” – but they then admitted that they didn’t have enough of the product to send everyone, and they would neither substitute with another product or do a full refund. To me that’s a scam.

Now, it’s small potatoes after what happened with French Box (I can’t believe people are willing to give them another chance!), but I think that dealing with less-than-ethical companies is just a recipe for trouble.

If it was full sized, I’d get the box. But those sample sizes are being given out like free candy. Any Ulta or Sephora store will give you one.

The gas and my time to get to an Ulta or Sephora for the free one ( it wouldn’t be “free” anyway really ) would be inconvenient – so it would be great to get one in this box for me:)

Well my comment isn’t only meant for you, so someone else can save their $15 and just pick it up next time they are near a store.

I’ve been wanting to test out this mascara before taking the plunge and purchasing. I just signed up to see how I like this box! So excited!!!

Excited to see this spoiler! I was so tempted to purchase this but I was trying to wait since I just bought the Better than Sex mascara 2 weeks ago.

That’s a good spoiler! I received one of these (sample size) in my Birchbox last month and I’ve been using it since. It’s a very nice and long lasting mascara.

Yes!!! I’m so excited to try this out! I’ve heard so many good things but I can’t justify buying another high end mascara right now! 🙂

this is a beauty box I took a chance on about five or six months ago and quite honestly I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve been disappointed plenty by birch box and by julep , but quite honestly I really enjoy each box I get from my allure beauty sample subscription.
One thing I do notice though is they send out a lot of mascara. And two months in a row I’ve received mascara but that’s okay though because it usually a good high-quality mascara and I don’t mind that. This beauty box got me obsessed with this charcoal face soap. Thanks for the spoiler 🙂

You can get a sample of this for free at sephora so this does not seem like a good deal :/

Really?! Were you able to get a free sample without making a purchase? I received an email promo that offered a “free” sample with $35 purchase, but I didn’t need anything so I I didn’t order. In any case, I’m excited for this sample. I generally have good luck w/Benefit mascaras.

Emily Li

you can indeed get it at sephora without any purchase, available in store only. They sent out an email about it a week or so ago. I got mine from the store for free.

Whitney // Beauty With Whitney

I’m pretty sure it’s with a purchase. I’m still excited about this, though! Hoping the size in this one will be bigger than the one Sephora is offering.

Lauren

OooOoh! I was thinking about canceling this sub (I have gotten in too deep in my sub list), but this spoiler changed my mind! I’m so excited to try this. If only it was deluxe or regular sized, my life would be made.
