Hammock Pack Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Shortbread

Willa's Shortbread Cookie Bites in Butter Pecan - Value $5.75

Olive and Sinclair Sea Salt Chocolate Bar - Value $7

My husband loves butter pecan, and he declared these cookies are "incredible." His only complaint was that the bite-size size made them difficult to dip in coffee!

I was excited by this chocolate bar at first since it doesn't have any dairy, but then after trying it I remembered that I usually don't like plain dark chocolate either. (I need either some sweet fruit mixed in, or a non-dairy milk). I'm sure if you are a dark chocolate lover though, this bar would be perfect.

Hammock Pack Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Candle

Music City Suds Take Me Home, Country Rose Candle - Value $12

First, LOVE the fun names of these candles. Second, I am thrilled that these are made with 100% natural soy wax and scented with essential oils! And lastly, the packaging is perfect! I like but don't love rose scents, so I may end up swapping or gifting this, but I will definitely buy other candles from their shop. Right now I'm eyeing Clove Miner's Daughter!

Hammock Pack Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Soap

Little Seed Farm Farmstead Milk Soap Activated Charcoal Bar - Value $7

I love charcoal soap, and this one has a wonderful clean and natural scent.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $32. I pay $30 for this box, and expect the value to be close to what I paid (hopefully a little over), so I'm happy with the value this month. Hammock Pack is more about curation though, and I think they did an excellent job this month. I'm very impressed with the brands and items they selected for the Tennessee box. What do you think of the January Hammock Pack?

This was my first Hammock Pack and I loved it! My soap was rose scented as well, not charcoal but with bits of something in it… I can’t use scented soap so I gave it to my mom. I was slightly disappointed that I had two rose scented products in the same box, but the delicious goodies made up for that very quickly 😀 I’m already looking forward to my next box!

OMG the names of the candles on their website. I want to buy most of them. And a lot are on clearance!

I LOVE the shortbread cookies too! I got Cocoa Spice soap – can’t wait to try it. I like dark chocolate, but this was too dark for me. I’ll share with people at work!

This was my first Hammock Pack and not sure if I’m going to continue with it or not. I liked it, but the two highest valued items I didn’t like at all. I loved the name of the candle but hate rose scents, so I swapped it immediately. Same with the soap, I got a rose scented soap I’m trying to swap. The butter pecan shortbreads were freaking amazing though. I hate the whole box in two days 🙁 I just couldn’t stop popping them in my mouth. So $30 to me isn’t great for 2 food items. I’ll have to see what next month’s box is.
