September 2014 BoxyCharm Spoilers!

The third spoiler for the February 2015 Boxycharm box is out! (Thanks Desiree!) Each box will include:

Mistura ConcealerMistura Complexion Corrector

What do you think of the latest spoiler? I'm always skeptical of anything described as "one shade for all skin tones," but I'm interested in the formula, and look forward to trying it.

(Check out the first and second Boxycharm spoilers too in case you missed them!)

I will still try it out…I am very excited for this box and they have truly charmed me thus far. I love their boxes..even if I get a dud item, I have no complaints. I think they are one of the best boxes for the money but of course, just my opinion.

Just wanted to throw something out there about redness. I hope this works well, but in the past I have not had great success with sticks or creams, because they either cover too thickly or get sort of removed once you put on foundation. But I would highly recommend Bare Minerals’ Neutralizing Primer. It has a yellow tone but is a much more liquid consistency, and once you put it on and let it set for a few minutes the yellow is gone but the neutralization remains. The only part that I usually still need to cover more, after the foundation, is the bridge of my nose; maybe this stick will do the trick there.

I second the recommendation for Bare Minerals neutralizing primer! It works great and can be used as a spot treatment along with another standard primer if you don’t need color correction all over. I’ve tried many yellows and it can be hard to get just the right shade to work so I can see a lot of folks not getting the most use from this particular product.

Thanks for people who commented what this product is for. Red is actually my major facial problem. I’ve managed to live until my mid-40s without having to wear makeup, but that’s no longer the case. It’s great to know that products like this exist.

It might be too dark but I am excited to try. Boxycharm is quickly becoming my favorite box!

I know people are always skeptical about 1 shade fits all, I am too. Even though this it multipurpose it’s main purpose is to cancel out red in the skin. In order to cancel out and correct skin tones it can’t just be any color. It has to be the correct tone to cancel, this is equivalent to people complain their skin isn’t green or lavender with those types of corrector. It’s meant to be worn under your foundation, which if you use a light coverage this wouldn’t work very well. However if you have a lot of problems with red in your skin be it acne or rosacea or other issues you probably are not using light coverage anything anyways. Rather than jumping and hating it give it a try, if you don’t happen to have red issues with your skin then I could see being upset with a product you can’t use.

These yellow concealers are great for correcting red! Boxycharm has been hitting it out of the park for me. I know I won’t use every product, but that’s the chance you take but I can always find someone (usually my 20 yo dd) to gift those items to.

This will be too dark for me, but I’ll use it on my lids as a base to cover redness.

Yikes… this will be WAY too dark for me. Useless. :/ I’m SUPER excited about the first two items though at least. I’ll love the polish even if it shows up after Vday.. and the face mask bottle alone will look GORGEOUS in my bathroom.

I’m not as excited for this box. I’ve been happy the last few boxes and usually whatever I’m not excited about a box it turns out great so there is that…
