Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Box

Every few months Net-A-Porter releases a new limited edition beauty box - and they are amazing! The packaging is beautiful, the products are top-quality (many full size), and the value is great too. Of course I bought this one the moment it launched!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Info

Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Serum

Jurlique Nutri-Define Retexturizing Serum (15ml/ 0.5fl.oz.) Value $60

Bamford’s Geranium Hand & Body Wash (50ml/ 1.7fl.oz.) Value $7.20

I like every Jurlique product I've tried (including some of their other serums) so I was excited to try this one. It has a bit of a floral scent when you first put it on, but it absorbs quickly and the scent fades quickly as well. I'm sure I will use every drop of this deluxe sample!

This body wash is made with 85% organic ingredients, and is free from synthetic fragrances. I love the scent combination too - it is minty and refreshing.

Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Soap

LAFCO Chamomile Lavender Soap (130ml/ 4.5oz.) Value $9

Serge Normant Meta Sheer Dry Finish Oil (50ml/ 1.7fl.oz.) FULL SIZE! Value $24

I like the LAFCO brand, but this scent isn't my favorite - I think I will be gifting or swapping it.

This Serge Normant spray is one of my favorite new hair product discoveries. I sprayed it on after straightening my hair in the morning and noticed that my hair looked more finished and in-place through out the day. I think it has earned a place in my morning routine line up! (I'm not in love with the scent, but I don't mind it, and it fades after a few minutes).

Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Mask

Radical Skincare Revitalizing Mask (30ml/ 1.0fl.oz.) FULL SIZE! Value $65

Charlotte Tilbury’s Mini Magic Cream (15ml/ 0.5fl.oz.) Value $28.50

I had such high hopes for this mask since it is paraben and phthalate free, and gets great reviews on Sephora. It comes out of the pump as a gel-like formula and then starts to foam as you apply it to your face. It has a bit of an effervescent feel, a clean-citrus scent, and you only have to leave it on for five minutes. I loved everything about it until I washed it off and saw it had turned my face semi-red. Looking closer at the reviews on Sephora I now see that about 1 in 15 reviewers have this problem - everyone else raves about it. My skin calmed down after about 30 minutes, but I'll be sticking with masks that don't make my skin react at all!

This mini magic cream seems to live up to its name so far. (I've only used it twice now, so I can't comment on long-term results yet). It's a rich cream, but it absorbs quickly and is very hydrating.

Net-A-Porter Valentine’s Beauty Kit Box Review Mascara

Eyeko’s Mini Black Magic Mascara (4ml/ 0.13fl.oz.) Value $12

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (5ml/ 0.16fl.oz.) Value $8.60

Anastasia’s Mini Clear Brow Gel (2.5ml/ 0.08fl.oz.)Value $6.28

The mascara and eyebrow gel are both products I've tried before and really like so they will be used very soon!

The Hourglass Primer is new to me, and I love the formula. It really creates a flawless feeling base on your skin. (Plus it is free of parabens, fragrance and sulfates). And it has a built in SPF15. The only thing I don't love about it is the sample applicator. It's just like a lipgloss/stick - I think it would have been easier to use in a tube or pump.

Verdict: Even though I didn't love every product, there are a lot of wins/new favorites in this box for me. The value of the box is about $220 as well - great for the $65 price. What do you think of the Net-A-Porter Beauty Valentine’s Kit ?

When I saw this still available last night, I ordered a second box. This is a great deal. Hopefully they (or Goodebox) will come out with a new special box soon!

I wanted to post an update on the mask. I had a (full line) Radical facial last month. I discussed my reaction to the mask with the esthetician. She advised me that the proper reaction to this mask is the flushing we (you and I, Liz) had. This mask is supposed to bring oxygen to the cells which causes the redness/flushing and means that the desired oxygenation is occurring. She also did a second step after removing the mask: She took a hand towel (which had been soaked in warm water and then wrung out) over my face and left it there fore about two minutes. The mask sort of regenerated (despite having been wiped off) and further benefited my skin. She then continued with the facial and I did not have any redness at the end of the facial. I will say that the Radical line is my new HG and my skin looks fabulous after using it almost exclusively for three weeks.

Hope this information helps others who are concerned with the redness.

Went to the Net-A-Porter site today hoping to find a new box. I didn’t. But I did see that this one is still available if anyone is interested.

I received this box last week, and I loved it so much that I ordered two more. 🙂
I even ordered one of the Charlotte Tilbury makeup kits, the Supermodel, based upon the quality of her cream in this kit. I’ve used every product, every day, since I’ve received it (except the mask, only use that on occasion).

Aloha! I ordered this one as soon as I saw it posted on your site! I love everything in it, however, I can’t even try the Radical because it seems that the pump is broken. I can’t get any of the product to even come out. I’ve emailed Net-A-Porter and am hopeful that they will send me a replacement. I’m a little nervous to try it based on some of the other reviews and on what happened for you, Liz, but my skin is pretty tough and usually doesn’t react to a lot.

Other than that, I absolutely love the Jurlique and the Hourglass primer! I also opened the Lafco soap and used it last night and it was amazing! The mini magic cream is probably one of my favorites of the box, so soft and moisturizing. I usually have to stay away from heavy moisturizers, but lately I’ve been using a lot of blemish treatments for some hormonal breakouts so my face has been drier than it’s normal oily self, so this feels fantastic! I think I may actually purchase a full-size of it once I run out of this one.

Thanks so much Liz for letting everyone know about this awesome box! Net-A-Porter is by far my favorite luxe box to get my hands on anytime they have something available (within reason…lol).

I had a lot of trouble getting the pump for the Radical to work as well. But, I kept pushing and pushing on it thinking mine was broken as well and it finally did come out. Maybe just a difficult pump design?

Got my box! I love the box itself, too. I purchased this because I wanted to try the Radical product which sells for the same price as the total price for this box. I tried it tonight and I’m not sure it’s going to work for me. During the time it was on my face, my face really tingled and sort of itched. It’s meant to be left on for 3 – 5 minutes and I left it on for the full five. After removing it, my face felt very tight and dry. Next time I will put it on for only the 3 minutes. Love the brow gel (use it often) and happy to have a travel sized one. Very excited to try the serum and magic cream.

Just letting you know that a deluxe sample of the Hourglass Primer does come with a pump! I buy the mini version at Sephora for travel/gym bag. I’ve tried on so many primers and this one is, by far, my favorite!

No, this is not the size with the pump! This is the same sample size that we give out at Sephora to Beauty Insiders. It comes with a little applicator attached to the lid.

A product that is similar to the Serge Normant, is Alterna’s Kendi Oil Micro Mist. I discovered it after getting the Bergdorf Goodman glossy box, I used my gift card code on it. It’s such a great product for finishing your look.

Thank you, for taking a hit for the team on the face mask! I got my box last night and planned on using the mask before a party this weekend- so thanks for the (possible) skin reaction warning. My skin is pretty sensitive -so I will just swap it. Everything else is great except for that soap–it smells like a Laundromat-and not at all like a LAFCO product. The soap is resting in a pair of tennis shoes to keep them fresh. Anyone try the Charlotte Tillbury face mask/cream yet?

This looks like a great box and a fantastic value! I may have to break my no-buy to purchase it if it’s still available!
