And on the back it has fold out stencils for text:

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 Glasses

Loot Crate 8-Bit Glasses - Value $4?

I remember getting 8-bit glasses in one of first Loot Crate boxes, so I guess it's appropriate to bring them back (in a slightly different style) for the Rewind box.

Verdict: This box has a value over $50 (that's based on my estimates on some of the exclusive items, and may be a little on the low side if some of these exclusive items are sought after on ebay, etc). I like that Loot Crate get so many exclusive items for their boxes - in my opinion it adds to the value. What did you think of the January Loot Crate box?

Feb’s Box was not better, and a theme becomes very clear looking at these items in detail.

Most of these “exclusives” are promo items that I’d be shocked if they weren’t paid to include. Really wouldn’t expect better in future.

I bought a 3 month subscription for my roommate for Christmas and we were both anxious to receive January’s box. He’s thrilled with all the products that were in the box and I was a little jealous, too! His favorite item was the t-shirt and wears it what seems like every other day. I had a coupon for the first box and only paid $10. An amazing value for what was included.

Criss Angel

The shirt is actually about $28 because of it being a Flophouse shirt and the figure is at most $15

I forgot to cancel this box because the theme did not interest my son. He didn’t like it. He does enjoy other Loot Crate boxes.

I actually signed up for this box bc I am a huge Star Wars fan and when that was featured in the spoiler I was anticipating more than just a comic book in it. My 9 yr old will love the glasses. I think my baby brother will like the t shirt and tie. I might swap out the rest. Hopefully Feb box will be better.

Loot Crate is always such a mixed bag for me, and this month was no exception. I will keep the t-shirt and notebook, and probably swap or sell the rest.

What I do like about Loot Crate is that I can usually sell (on eBay) one or two items each month and more than recoup the cost of the box. What I don’t like is that usually I’m only excited about one or two items every month… blah, I should really quit this one, but every now and then there’s something so unbelievably amazing in these boxes that I would be worried about missing out!

I realize every box may not be for everyone. We’ve been subscribing for about a year and we love Loot Crate. My son who is 13 loved this box and immediately wore the tie and sunglasses to school. The sunglasses are polarized which is nice.

Honestly, I loved this box. We’re both major geeks who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, as well as ridiculous Star Wars fans. It was basically perfect.

I was disappointed in this box. It was my first. And if next month isn’t better I’m canceling.

The only thing in here I really care for is the comic. I may paint in the shirt, but other then that, the box will likely get stored away somewhere and never looked at again. I love exclusive items, but I really didn’t care for these. It’s been a pretty universally bad month for most sub-boxes this month.

I’m pleased that I cancelled before receiving this box, but I can see how some people might really like a lot of the stuff. The comic looks fun (but I’m experiencing Star Wars fatigue at this point), and I’m hoping to swap for the comic notebook for my 10-year-old daughter. But more 8-bit glasses? Really? Also, the figures don’t actually sell well on ebay; I checked when I got one from Quarterly. I was happy that someone swapped for mine eventually. 🙂

My husband is a bit overloaded on shirts now from my boxes, and wouldn’t wear a skinny tie, but if the tie were normal size, he’d probably wear it!
