I absolutely LOVE the candles!! I lived in South Africa for 2 years so seeing them included makes me so happy. Though I’m a bit bummed as well. I already have two of the baskets and really don’t need another one (I’m sorta surprised they’d repeat an item that was just recently included); plus I’m not a tea drinker so I really don’t want tea. If I could get an extra candle or two instead of the basket and tea than I’d definitely sign up again. But I just don’t want another basket (though they are really nice!) or tea that I wouldn’t use. I will say though that this box looks amazing (many more items than the previous boxes). I love the variety!

Hi Lisa! This is the first time that we get a comment about having too many baskets 🙂 The baskets are our signature packaging and are handmade by a cooperative of women in rural Mexico. Everyone else begs us to include the baskets in each box that is why we have been doing this.

That is customer service! I hope we see more spoilers in the coming months. I loved my holiday home box and want to order a box again after I catch up on my finances after a huge unexpected vet bill.
I was reading about the shea industry in Toxin In Toxin Out:Getting Harmful Chemicals Out of Our Bodies and Our World by Bruce Louri and Rick Smith. It spoke about the Global Shea Alliance and how 16 million African women harvests 1 million tons of shea. It’s amazing to think how our purchases can impact their lives.
I’m a hybrid. I love American made products, organic, natural, small business. I also like purchasing oversea items that are of good quality and makes a difference in their local economy and lives.

I wonder if they always put everything in a basket – so far I’ve gotten one in both of the special holiday boxes and in the December box, and the shipping box is perfectly sized for it.

I really want to subscribe to this box but am still miffed by the fact that I never received a response from customer service when I had a problem using the last coupon. Seemed like they just weren’t interested in getting my business.
I’m carrying a grudge I guess. Lol

Just had to say I got the two special edition December boxes (for her and for home), and they were both phenomenal!! Those two boxes made me a real fan of Globe In – the craftsmanship was so special, and each item so unique land beautiful. If anyone is on the fence, don’t be – go for it 🙂

It’s nice that you osted the box contents. I wouldn’t buy this because of where the products are from, so it is nice to know ahead of time. That said I most prefer made in the U.S. items, so I’m not the target audience for these types of boxes.

I’m looking forward to every item in this box! Has a spa like feeling to me. I’m collecting the baskets. They look great together and the lid fits nicely on them. The December box was awesome too. These boxes feel special to me. I like the stories about the artists, + their online shop has so many interesting items.

Will each box carry ALL of these items? I’ve gotten GlobeIn boxes before, and they’ve never had that many items. Have they changed their format for boxes?

Liza here from GlobeIn! We have revamped our subscription boxes so now they will have greater value for our customers and are even more carefully curated reflecting a monthly theme. I am glad you are happy with the changes we made 🙂 While the exact number of items will vary each month, our boxes will typically have more items than before.
