Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review – December 2014

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - December 2014 Bag

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural and healthy too!). They also typically include a nice mix of full size and sample beauty items.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI – I subscribe to both the Snack and Beauty box, so Vegan Cuts combines them into one box for shipping – that’s why the beauty items are separated into their own bag.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - December 2014 Info

Each beauty box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - December 2014 Polish

Delizioso Skincare Cream Blush – FULL SIZE! Value $18

BellaPierre Cosmetics Nail Polish in English Red – FULL SIZE! Value $15

When I first saw this cream blush I assumed it was a sample size, but it is actually the full size version. A little goes a LONG way though, so this highly-pigmented cream should last a while.

The BellaPierre nail polish is a beautiful bright cherry red – I definitely don’t need any more nail polish, but I like this creme shade.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - December 2014 Lotion

North Coast Organics All-Natural Spray Lotion – .135 oz Value $1?

Landeva Organics Hair and Body Oil – 5 ml Value $1.25

This spray lotion is scented with rosemary and lavender (which I love), but I would describe it as more of an oil than a lotion.

The Landeva hair and body oil wasn’t listed on the card, so I’m not sure if it is an item than may vary per subscriber. I like the scent a lot though.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - December 2014 Drops

21 Drops Focus Sample – .6 ml Value $2

(Bonus Nail File)

This 21 Drops sample is made from natural essential oils of rosemary, peppermint and frankincense. To me it has an overall minty scent and maybe it will help me get through my inbox a little faster!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $37. It isn’t my favorite Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, but I’ll use pretty much everything, so I’m good with the value.

  1. Also I wanted to point out that the Delizioso (Blush) works great as a lip color on your lips. I layer lip balm on top on that. The color looks so good!!

  2. I just noticed this but the blush I got…it had very little in it. Liz, your blush looks very full. Mine was half empty. =/

  3. I actually was fairly impressed with the Vegan Cuts box this month! The nail polish was nice and I adored the blush! Definitely a keeper. At first I thought it was small but it actually last and lasts and didn’t even come off when I wore it for a long night out. I liked the other stuff as well, I’m just more of a color person 🙂

  4. I am not going to lie…I was actually super disappointed in my Vegan Cuts box for this month. This is also my first box so I was super excited. I saw their youtube video: December Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Sneak Peek. I was excited for the blush! When I received the beauty box I felt kind of cheated. I did my research and I read reviews of their past beauty boxes too. I just don’t understand what happened with Dec’s beauty box?! Huge disappointment…….

-Bellapierre Nail Polish (Color Pearl White)
I was happy to get that color because it’s so pretty. Sadly it chips off really easily. It felt really cheap. It is NOT durable (false advertisement)!

-North Coast Organics (Natural Spray Lotion)
Came in a small sampler bottle. It looked cheap and it did not smell good. The liquid in the bottle is weird. It’s yellow with little white dots in it. It did not look safe so I just threw that in the trash.

    -21 Drops (Sleep)
It didn’t smell good. It came in a incredibly small container. Threw that away too.

-Landeva Organics (this product was not listed in their card)
This container looks more decent (but the label was falling off) than their North Coast Organics (Natural Spray Lotion). It smelled okay but I wasn’t wowed by it. So I gave that to someone who liked the smell.

    -Delizioso (Blush)
Actually the only thing I like in the box. Only thing I kept. Sadly it’s SO small compare to the one shown in their youtube video.

Overall I was so disappointed in my first box. I might just cancel if the next box is crap too. =/

I also signed up for Petit Vour at the same time. I really liked my Dec. Beauty Box from Petit Vour. That did not disappoint and it was way cheaper! As for VeganCuts I rather have less stuff in the box that is an actual nice product than more stuff with shady looking brands that is cheap.

  5. I got the Landeva and nail file as well.

My nail polish was the “copper brown” (or what I’ve been calling “shimmering feces”) – I hated it so much, along with the neon blush I threw the whole box in the trash.

  6. I was very disappointed in this box (my first one from them). I’ll continue for a couple more months, but not if this trend continues.

  7. Man, I actually really liked this box! Might just be because it was my first Vegan Cuts box, haha. I looove the cream blush <3 it's super portable and super good as far as I can tell! And I got a different nail color, a white pearl shade that is just beautiful. I will say that I don't get the spray lotion, nothing about it says "lotion" to me at all when using it lol.

I will admit though, I get Petit Vour too, and I did like it better. Both were really good for me, though!

  8. I dont like the idea of a full size nail polish being the only full size product in a box. I’m also not a fan of the color red. I’ve been reading the Vegan Cuts reviews for a while hoping I’d like the boxes better, so far I havent yet I do like the special offers and products they have on their website. I got the Leaping Bunny Stocking which they still have on their site and like it a lot.

  9. Is it just me or do the samples seem to get smaller every month? For $20 I expect, well, more in terms of product size. Nail polish and a creme blush are nice, but not for $20. My Petit Vour box had a much higher value to me this month. I’ll just never be a fan of vials, whether they’re concentrated like with essential oils, or straight up perfume. Ditto for mini sample containers of hair and body products. It just seems like the value (for me) isn’t what it used to be.
