Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review – November 2014 Bag

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural and healthy too!). They also typically include a nice mix of full size and sample beauty items.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI - I subscribe to both the Snack and Beauty box, so Vegan Cuts combines them into one box for shipping - that's why the beauty items are separated into their own bag.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review – November 2014 Shampoo

EVOLVh Ultra Shine Shampoo - 2.5 oz Value $7

Demes Butter Me Up Stick in Cherry*cercise - FULL SIZE! Value $15

This shampoo has been in a few subscription boxes before, but I'm OK with a repeat because it's a great natural haircare brand. The Butter Me Up stick is new to me though. It can work as a lip balm stick - or a general use body balm stick for dry skin. It reminds me of the classic cherry flavor of chapstick, so I think I'll use it as a lip balm for sentimental value (I lived on cherry chapstick through middle school!)

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review – November 2014 Eyeliner

La Mav Wrinkle Smoothing Antioxidant Rich Nightly Repair Nectar - Sample

Shorganics Orange Spice Bar Soap - Travel Size Value $2?

The All Natural Face Eye Shadow Crayon in Black Kohl - FULL SIZE! Value $5

This soap is one of my favorite items in the box - it's free of synthetic fragrances and I love the orange, almond and spice scent! The black eyeshadow crayon isn't too exciting for me since I have way too many black eyeliners, but I like the crayon design of it so I know I will use it for a smoky eye look when I need more precision with an eyeshadow.

FYI - my box was missing the Mullein & Sparrow Tinted Lip and Cheek Balm (Mini Value $10), so I will be contacting Vegan Cuts to let them know. (This has only happened to me once before and they sent me the missing beauty product with no issues, so I'm not worried. And I can't wait to try out the lip balm - it's from one of the brands I really want to try!)

Verdict: Including the missing lip balm, this box has a value of about $40. That's double than what I paid, and I'm happy with the sizes included for the most part, so this is a good box for me. What do you think of the November Vegan Cuts Beauty Box?

Hey Liz, So sorry about the missing Mullein & Sparrow lip balm. We’ll definitely get you a replacement so you can try it asap <3

LOVE the Butter Me Up stick! It does come off funny – chunky bits, but once you warm it up it melts nicely. I love the scent on that one and it is not overwhelming. Need to go try the lip gloss, liked the container on that one.

I really like the Mullien and Sparrow tinted lip and cheek balm. It’s different than anything else I have! It’s been really cold and windy here so the moisture is nice on my cheeks and lips.

Ooh, I wish I had gotten the Orange Spice soap! Mine was Lavender scented, which is still nice, but I love spicey scents. And I’m sure Vegan Cuts will send you the Mullein & Sparrow item, but even if they didn’t you aren’t missing much. I wasn’t impressed by it at all, it has hardly any color payoff.

This is definitely a box that I’m adding to my list for next year! And I love that they’re sending out products from the All Natural Face. I discovered them about a year ago and I absolutely fell in love with almost all of their products. They’re the only company that carries a powder that truly matches my ultra-fair, pinkish skin tone and doesn’t oxidize!

That box looks great. And I love the packaging on the lip balm!

Warning: the Mullein & Sparrow balm is scented not-lightly with patchouli oil and that smell doesn’t fade when you wear it … which made that balm an instant trash-can classic for me. I live in a hippy town and suffocate on enough patchouli oil already.

I got the tangerine & vanilla Butter Me Up stick – it smells sooooo good but I don’t care for how it applies.

I hated the tinted lip balm too. The tin is tiny and really hard to open and it smelled and tasted horrible.

Ditto on the lip balm….That is such a controversial smell. Wish they would have sent out a different scent.
