This box came with a letter detailing the theme for the box. This month is all about “Lagring” – the Swedish and Norwegian word for storage.
On the flip side of the card is an itemized list of everything included with retail prices.
Norman Copenhagen Pocket Organizers 1,2 and 3 – Value $52.50 total
These containers are dishwasher safe and work for everything from office space storage, to kitchen and bathroom storage, to planters! Here are a few photos of the organizers in action from Norman Copenhagen:
I think I’ll use these in my office to clear up desk space. I love the simple design and the hidden bracket.
Norman Copenhagen Agnes Vase – Value $17.50
This is a tiny bud vase – a little over 2 inches tall. (I may actually end up using it as a q-tip holder in the bathroom).
Roost Nested Birch Gift Boxes – Value $18
The card lists that there are 3 boxes included, but my box only had 2, so I’m not sure if that’s a mistake or if I should have received another box.
These boxes are made with a super thin birch veneer and will be perfect for keeping little loose items out of eye sight.
Verdict: I love that Skandicrush selected storage/organizational items for their December box. It could have worked well for a January box too, but it’s nice going into the new year hopefully already a little more organized! The value is good too this month – over $80. I think this is a quality over quantity subscription box, and so far I’ve been very pleased with their curation.
What do you think of the December Skandicrush box?
Looks like the price is going up. Their website says the subscription starting Feb 2015 is $55
Wow – That was quick – Maybe the value might go up to.
This is by far, is my favorite subscription box. Personally, I love that the items are color neutral, it assures they will fit into most decors. If they were specific colors, I imagine there would be complaints that they would be the wrong colors. Also, these are top quality, beautifully designed items, not ikea level.
I subscribe and have been really pleased. We received notice that one of the three boxes had been damaged so the vase was added to replace and just 2 boxes sent. The Christmas box was wonderful and this one seemed a little low key but I have already put up the containers and will use everything in the box.
This looks nice. I like Scandinavian design. I’m close to signing up.
Did I miss your review of the Holiday box, or did you not do that one?
I should have that review up in the next day or two!
These seem like really nice items, but never something I’d spend $50 on. Not my style at all, I like color.
I just think Ikea when I see this subscription box. To me, Ikea was great in college, but now I want grown up stuff.
I enjoy the reviews. Every time I read them I think I should order this box. I think what holds me back is the lack of color. I like the items selected, but want color.
I agree with you completely. That was one reason why I choose the globein box, the artsy colors are happy looking. I keep hoping they will ad some color to this box. If so I would sign up immediately.
Beautiful items! I would have put all of them to good use. I’m very close to signing up but I’m not sure I can commit to $50/month. I almost wish this box was quarterly.
