Each box comes with a card detailing the items included, and tips for using them.

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Dec 2014 Blush

Everyday Minerals Matte Blush in All Smiles – 1.7 g Value $4.25

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Cream in Lavender – 1 oz Mini Size Value $8

This blush is pretty heavily pigmented, and I don’t have very many matte finish blushes, so I will definitely use it a lot. I’m not a big fan of the deodorant cream in a jar application (applying with your fingertips), but I love the organic lavender scent of this one, and I like the Meow Meow Tweet brand, so I’m going to give it a try!

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Dec 2014 Polish

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Lacquer in Just Call My Lawyer – FULL SIZE! Value $15

This nail polish brand is new to me, and I think the deep cranberry red shimmer color of this polish is perfect for the holidays!

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Dec 2014 Skin

Blissoma Pure Sensitive Skin Soothing Complex – .5 oz Value $13

I just tried out this cream, and I think I like it so far. It absorbs super quickly, plus it does seem great for sensitive skin. (My only issue with this sample is the application. Instead of a pump like the full size version, this sample has a dropper applicator, which doesn’t work at all for creams. So I’m not sure how many uses I’ll actually get out of it).

Verdict: This box has a value of about $40. I’m happy with the value, and the sizes of all the products. I think I’ll use everything too, so that makes it a very good box for me.

What do you think of the December Petit Vour Box?

  1. Does anyone have any tips in how to get the Blissoma cream out? The dropper doesn’t work at all, and the creams to thick to shake out. I haven’t been able to use my sample at all.

    • Try q-tip. I used that for all the little dropper samples. Minimum waste.

    • I received mine yesterday. The dropper is entirely non-functioning, I too will be using a Q-Tip until, I clean out a used up serum bottle. This was my first box, and I really like it. I wish that I received the dark red polish(which was why I even ordered it). I got the light pink with blue undertones. Anyone out there wish they had the pink polish instead? I would love to switch, and I am too lazy/busy for swaps(sorry, Liz!.>

  2. Oh my goodness! Dec. is my first box from them and I love everything in the box!!

Keep up the wonderful work Petit Vour!! <3

  3. I think that PV is one of my favorite sub boxes that I get each month! I’ve discovered several new great organic products that I’ve already ordered full-sizes of! Between this, Vegan Cuts Beauty and Eco Emi, I’m a happy camper! I’ve been trying really hard to clean up my beauty routine to include as much all natural as possible. This has been a great way to help me do that! I had no idea that so many awesome natural products were out there that worked just as well as the ingredient filled expensive brands (although some of the “organic/all natural” products are just as expensive sometimes 😎

  4. I love this PV box. I got the pink nail polish and it has kind of a light purple shimmer to it which is different than anything I have. I also am liking the deodorant. It seems to do the job for me and I really don’t mind this type of application. I got the Peace serum and love the scent. The dropper is pretty useless, but my bottle seems to have a decent amount of product and I am able to get it off the sides of the dropper. I like the blush color too, but I’m having a little difficulty getting enough to shake out. All in all though, a nice box for me!

  5. I’m a little jealous of those of you who received the Peace or Pure Blissoma sample. I got the Blissoma serum for oily/blemished skin, which I will not be able to use because my skin is the opposite of oily. If beauty boxes are going to send out products for specific skin types, then I wish they would consider allowing subscribers to fill out an online profile so the boxes could be tailored. I would love to try the Pure formula.

The mineral blush and nail polish are both nice products. I gifted the polish and will probably save the blush for spring/summer as it is a little too pink for me right now. I tried the deodorant and it works ok, but I prefer natural deodorants without baking soda simply because it tends to irritate my skin over time. Overall, not a bad box and definitely a good value, but it doesn’t contain anything I am particularly excited about.

    • I emailed Petit Vour regarding their beauty survey, and they said they are revamping their initial subscriber survey to allow for greater customization. We should see it sometime this spring.

      • That’s great! I’m glad to hear they are making this change. Thanks for sharing the info.

  6. I just subscribed and this was the first box I’ve received. I’m pretty happy with my purchase. Shipping was quick and everything arrived intact. I like the description card that’s included. The blush and nail color are perfect for me! I also like the Blissoma Solutions “smooth” serum that’s good for oily skin, which I have. First time I’ve used a lotion that comes with a dropper? As far as the deodorant, I really love lavender so I’m okay with that but I’m not so sure about applying it with my fingers…. Overall, I’m pleased with the items received and I look forward to receiving boxes in the future!

  7. Is anyone having this problem with the Peace Creme? I opened it last night and it is only 2/3rds full. No worries about the creme overflowing the bottle when putting the eye dropper back in. Also all that is left in the bottle is scraping around the sides when I take out the eye dropper. I had to move the dropper around the bottle and used what came on the side of the dropper.

I don’t know if it is because my house is cold or my sample is off. I placed the creme into the warmer part of the house last night and this morning it doesn’t look any different. I have a love/hate relationship with PV. This frustrates me. No SW Basic from October frustrates me. Yet I find products that I absolutely love like Pelle Beauty Beauty oil and the Rosario (?) body butter.

The good news is the creme did not bother my rosacea and it will be a fast sample to use up. I might get 4 uses from it.

    • I should clarify that the 2/3rds full is what it looks like from the outside. It’s a thin coating on the inside sticking against the bottle. Nothing for me to grab with the eye dropper.

    • I got a different formula (Smooth – for oily skin) and the bottle is almost completely full but the eye dropper does not work. I was going to give it to my sister until I opened it today, tested the dropper, and realized that nothing will suck up into the little tube. I’ve had it in the warmest room of my house and the product stirs easily, but it is too thick for that type of applicator. Maybe a small amount could be scraped out with the dropper but it is basically a useless sample.

  8. I’m really enjoying the December Petit Vour box, even thought it is heavy on the lavender of which I’m not a huge fan (too much = headache). The Blissoma serum in Peace is a nice, mellow scent for sleep — I like the brand, the texture, and the consistency, so I’ll try Pure for sensitive skin with my next PV shop order. The Everyday Minerals matte blush in All Smiles is a fun warm/neutral on my cool skin, and it looks great paired with a pinkish nude lip gloss. The only reason I even tried the Meow Meow Tweet deodorant is because I’m a sucker for branding and I love the company name and the colors on the jar/packaging! And saving the best for last: the full-size TRUST FUND nail color in Money Buys Happiness (sort of a luminescent baby pink) is exactly the color I’ve been looking for! It’s so pretty! PV and VBR did a great job putting together the December box. Well done!

  9. I like this month’s box. I do wish they did customization because I would rather have tried the Pure facial creme instead of Peace if I had a choice. I would like to see how the Pure facial creme reacted with my rosacea. I’m still going to use the Peace evening calming facial creme and am curious to see how it works. I received the Money Buys Happiness pale pink nail color.

I’m not sure why the deodorant samples are not rollons. That is what i use when I make homemade deodorant. It allows for better coverage. I’m still going to give the brand a try. I haven’t tried anything yet. This is the first quiet time I had in the past few days 🙂 I will be trying out the facial creme tonight and probably the deodorant tomorrow.

    • Hi Anna,

We do have Beauty Profiles that are sent out automatically in the welcome email. The December boxes were curated to match skin needs, but only if the beauty profile was filled out, otherwise we had to guess. Xx

      • I looked back through my emails and saw I never opened the message. Good to know for the future.

  10. I love Petit Vour and always look forward to the boxes. I was happy to receive a light pink nail color. I have way too much polish but am glad I didn’t get the dark color as I have a bunch of dark reds and dark colors from other boxes. I love natural deodorant and use a little spatula to get it out. I had a hard time with the dropper in the Peace face cream, when I put the dropper back in the bottle I had to be careful so more cream didn’t get pushed out the top lip of the container but I did like the cream feel and consistency. I’m not a huge fan of loose powder cosmetics but I will use the blush anyways. Overall, I am happy with this month!

  11. I really liked this months box.

  12. I got the same box but a different polish color, a matte pastel pink. It’s an unusual shade that I somehow don’t already own so I’m calling it a win for me. I love the cream and the dropper wasn’t too bad for application. When it gets low I’ll just use the little rubber spatula thingie we got from Boxy to scoop out the remainder. The deodorant is always a meh item for me though I like this scent better than the last one they sent me, in lime bergamot. There just has to be some way to make a natural deodorant in a roll on/solid applicator. No one likes digging their nails into it to apply. I wore the blush yesterday and it’s a very different looking, more subtle shade on the face. I like it a lot, especially the matte finish which I wasn’t sure about before I tried it. This was my best PV box so far in 3 months!

  13. I found the deodorant unpleasant to apply and not very effective (at least for me on a sedentary kind of day). :/

Okay with the rest of the box, but not bowled over. At least there was no perfume!

  14. Loved the skin cream in this box – my skin gets red and fussy easily, but it drank in this formula and felt very soothed. I was excited to learn about this brand, which I had not heard of before. I’ve gotten Petit Vour boxes for three months now — and I’d have to say they are one of my favorite subscriptions. The products feel luxurious, not like something from the dimly-lit beauty aisle of a health food store, if you know what I mean :)!

  15. I love this box! I got the light pink nail polish. While I would have liked preferred your darker burgundy, it’s still a nice, pale color that I’m sure I’ll use. I also got the Peace serum for combo/oily skin. I love the scent, and it hasn’t caused any reactions on my sensitive skin. (I believe the full-size version uses a pump, too.) I am a big fan of Schmidt’s deodorant, but I love the easier application of this deodorant. Yes, I still have to use my fingers, but it is very effective. I’m a bigger fan of bronzers than blushes, but I know I’ll get good use out of this one. Petit Vour has done it again with a great box and fantastic value!

  16. I absolutely love the nail polish color. I am wearing it right now, its gorgeous. The blush is really pretty & flattering.. I had the same issue with the dropper on the cream, doesn’t work at all. I always really like the items they send. I love getting introduced to new brands too.

  17. I love Petit Vour! I got the exact same box. I do not like deodorant that you put on with your fingers. I haven’t tried the cream, but it looks nice. Not sure about the dropper though….hmm…maybe. The blush is discontinued, but a pretty color. I will always subscribe to Petit Vour because I love their mission!

  18. I got the same box. I noticed the blush is in a discontinued color when I looked online. The color is very nice though. The nail polish is nice and Christmasy. I wish they would have put a small plastic spatchla with the deorderant. I do like the mix of products in this box, even though I am tired of seeing full size nail polishes in sample boxes, mini nail polishes are so much more fun. I’ve always liked Petit Vour boxes and have been subscribing for a while and will continue to subscribe.
