The box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Geek Me Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Tee

Galactic Babies Tee - Value $15?

My husband and I both loved Guardians of the Galaxy, but I'm not sure if he'll like this Muppet Babies mashup. (Groot looks adorable though!)

Geek Me Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Nightmare

The Nightmare Before Christmas Santa Jack Wacky Wobbler Bobble Head - Value $13

Very appropriate for a December box! It seems like The Nightmare Before Christmas is popping up in a few geeky boxes this month!

Geek Me Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Domo

Funko Domo Mystery Mini Figure - Value $8

This series includes DC heroes and villains - I'm guessing my husband will be swapping for more of these!

Geek Me Box Subscription Review – December 2014 ET

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Blind Bag Figure - Value $4

E.T. is one of my favorite childhood movies, so this little guy is going on my desk. (And I have another one from the February Nerd Block).

Geek Me Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Pony

My Little Pony and Transformers Micro Comic Fun Packs - Value $3 total

These sets include a micro comic, a micro poster, a sticker sheet and a tattoo.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $45. This wasn't our favorite box from this subscription just because of personal preferences, but I think it is a good mix of items. (With geeky boxes, it can be a bit of a gamble depending on what characters they send).

(FYI - this box also included bonus candy canes and pixel stickers - I forgot to take a separate photo of them, but you can see them in the full box photo near the beginning of the review).

What do you think of the December Geek Me Box?

Have you tried 1up Box? It’s a monthly geek/gamer box that’s $12.92 + $6 shipping. They guarantee a t-shirt every month. We have subscribed since October and have loved every box we received so far.

I got in on the introductory price deal on 1Up Box. I got in on that just under the wire, so December’s was my first box. I absolutely loved it even though I didn’t get the figure I was hoping for. I plan on wearing my shirt to see the last Hobbit film. The 1Up folks were also among the group most helpful in getting me the box insert info.

I really enjoyed this one. The shirt might not be very manly, but it is fun. Santa Jack was great. I didn’t expect a figure as big as the wacky wobbler. I even liked the inclusion of the little activity books. I gave the MLP one to my niece and the Transformers one to my nephew. They made nice additions to their stockings.
Also, since I can’t read the inserts in the boxes, I asked all of the sub box customer service departments if they could email me the information. Almost all did, but GeekMeBox and GeekFuel were the fastest to respond. The only one that said no was LootCrate. They said they didn’t have a digital version of the insert because there were often codes for download and provided me a link to a digital copy of the LootCrate magazine, which it turns out is not accessible to screen readers. OTOH, the GeekMeBox CS person quite obviously typed oin the information or at least copied and pasted from another source since they added some commentary to better describe the items. Says a lot about the different companies.
