I love it! The products are amazing. I definitely want it but I have already spent my xmas money on other boxes/gifts. So, I am going to be a good girl and pass on this box (this year). But next year, I will put this in my budget to own.

People are harping on this box, but I don’t see why. You get triple the amount in value of what you pay for, and it’s all great brands. Tons of people get Christmas bonuses and not everyone is poor and can’t afford this.

I get so irritated when people say “who would buy this?” Well, TONS of people would buy this, or else they wouldn’t have bothered curating. In fact, I may combine my Christmas, birthday, and anniversary and ask for this.

Goodness people, if you genuinely just don’t like the products that’s one thing. But I get so tired of people criticizing any box on this website that’s over $100.

Subscription boxes cover all wallet sizes, and that’s what’s so great about them!

That’s true, Jennifer. I guess my comment was a knee jerk reaction but that does make sense. 🙂

OMG my fiancé just informed me that he already bought me this for Christmas!!!! He is seriously the sweetest man ever 🙂

What an amazing present!!

Stacey

Does he have a single brother? LOL. 🙂

Jessica

Gorgeous!! So many brands I adore in one place. My Christmas Wishlist is getting a bit excessive! Lol

Cynthia

I wish I could ! Way out of my price range.

Guess we are not the target market for this box 🙂 I think it looks great (except what is that necklace-looking thing in the picture to the left of the box??) but I’m not the target market either!

I would much rather add in the extra $145 and have this instead of the PS Nieman Marcus…

Good idea!

I was so excited when I saw the post. Then I clicked on it and was so disappointed. I’d rather save my money for their event in February and get what I want.

Holy Moly, who has that money to throw out for a sub box? I would never ever pay that much for a box, even if I had the money. I wish Nordtrom put out a beauty bag for the holidays, by far it was THE best bag I ever had!

Jennifer

Actually a lot of people get large Christmas bonuses, so it’s not uncommon to have money for this. Or instead of getting 6 different subs a month, save up for one epic one lol.
People who are extremely poor probably say they’d never pay for boxes like Wantable.

There’s obviously a market for this, or it wouldn’t have been put up for sale. It’s not for me, but I’m not going to criticize someone who finds value in it and decides to buy it. I hope everyone who does buy it, enjoys it.

That being said, I find that the comments about people being poor/extremely poor/etc. to be callous and inappropriate, as well as displaying a lack of understanding of what actually constitutes poverty (it’s not about not being able to afford a subscription box at any price point — it’s about not being able to afford basic things like food and shelter).

I don’t want to get into any kind of flame war on this blog, and I’m not on any kind of soap box. I’ve said my piece. But I think it’s especially important, at this time of year, to have sympathy for those who are less fortunate.

Emily

WOW.

LCO

The only thing to catch my eye was the La Mer (which is the only splurge in my regular skin care routine). But it looks like they are only including the half-size jar which retails for $80. The rest of the stuff would have to be worth $315 to make the box worth it for me…and it’s definitely not.

Now, if the box had something with diamonds….

Jenny

Diamonds!! Yes!! lol

Oh, and I forgot to comment on the eye makeup remover pads. I’ve tried all caliber of emr pads, and nothing beats my cheapie Almay ones from the drugstore. I wonder how much the ones in this box are valued at.

For almost $400 I could totally set myself up with my ideal high end products – guaranteed to love everything I pick.
Who’s going to hand over that amount for someone else’s selection?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer Hilton

Someone who likes all these brands and sees it as a great deal?

Reply ButtonReply

Jenna

Definitely way too expensive for me! $50 per purchase is really as high as I can go. I purchased my first $50 box from Liz and i got my shipping confirmation today! Can’t wait!

PA Anna

Tatcha is in the box 🙂 The pricepoint is too high for me. However, I don’t shop at Barneys either. I’m amazed by how many makeup brand names I recognized. I wonder if other high end stores will start offering beauty boxes.

Crystal

I’d rather spend that amount of money on another women’s Svbscription box if I’m going to shill out hundreds for a sub box. Otherwise I could get much more bang for my buck waiting for some killer day after Christmas deals with $400.

AC

wow. i can think of SO MANY nice things that i would get more use out of, for that amount of money. I mean, really!!

Reply ButtonReply

dorothy

wow to high

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

Wow. That seems like the kind of thing only people who can afford to shop at Barneys to begin with might find good value in. A gift for the rich person that had it all lol

This makes my Oui Please box look like the best bargain ever. They do have some very high end things here, like La Mer and 111SKIN, but as most if the luxe beauty-only boxes are – it’s too heavily weighted with lip products (generally the cheapest of cosmetic categories though definitely not cheap by any means) and overpriced in my opinion.

Britney

Wow. Just wow. o_O

Nothing grabs my attention. I’m going to pass. I expected better.

Holy hell, who has an extra $400 laying around for a beauty box? Looks super amazing though.
