I know normally you can’t use your purchase of a mystery box to the required $35 to get this $120 gift, but it says with ANY order purchase. Hmm. Does anyone know if it’ll work this time if I were to purchase. Mystery box, also do they even have any mystery boxes available right now?

Re: the comments about the value of the gift set: have you ever looked at the listed value of free gift sets when you purchase Clinique or Lancome or other dept store brands? A little nylon zipper bag with tiny samples is usually listed as $70-90 value. If you total up the full list price of the items that are available to buy, the value they show is in line with $120.
At the end of the day, it’s FREE with a $35 purchase, so if there’s $35 worth of stuff you’re interested in at Julep, this is a pretty awesome gift with purchase.
My two cents. 🙂

I love Julep nail polish. It’s like nothing I’ve ever used. In this month’s box I got Fazia (liquid granite shimmer) and it’s Amazing. Anyways, yea Julep definitely inflate their prices, probably bc they expect us to use coupon codes or something. If never pay $14 for one nail polish. That being said, I do wonder how they are valuing the bag in this set.

When I totaled the amounts of the make-up items from the regular prices on the site (not Maven because I figured they wouldn’t use Maven prices), I came up with $34 left over as the value for the bag.

I went ahead & picked one up. I went to the gifts page & picked up 3 nail polish sets for a total of 8 polishes. With the gift set it came out to just under $40 shipped. I’m pretty happy with it…got 10 nail polishes, a lip gloss, eyeshadow, a brush, & a cute little bag for a little under $40. I’ll take it! 🙂

I am addicted to and adore Julep’s bare face oil, so I’ll always keep my sub for that (though I’ve been doing more lipsticks than polishes lately – their newest lip line is great.) I actually love their polish formulation, but stay away from the wacky colors in favor of neutral crèmes. That said, when I ordered that shadow set I swapped it. I was really looking forward to it, but the colors are darker than they appear and even the latest shade would give me a smoky eye. The formulation was also chalky. I loved the puffy brush for a blending brush and kept it. So buyer beware on the shadow. If you have a fair complexion the shadows are VERY dark. Would be lovely on darker skin.

Polishes are $14 each, lipgloss around $20? The sequined cosmatic bag must be a $50 item.

I’m sorry to be such a bummer but in what world is that gift set worth $120?

I was thinking the same thing. This is why I won’t sign up for Julep.
