BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nov 2014 Box

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. It’s one of our favorite subscription boxes – our dog loves it, and we’ve gifted it to dogs in our extended family as well!

BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nov 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nov 2014 Toys

Petmate Chef Heggies - Value $10

Swag Company Cornucopia - Value $11

These toys are SO cute! The cornucopia is actually filled with 4 separate squeaker fruit toys!

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nov 2014 Turkey

CARU Real Beef Stew - Value $6

Eos Turkey with Sweet Potato Dog Treats - Value $5

I think BarkBox does an excellent job at picking out the dog snacks and food. Everything we've received so far has been made with natural, wholesome ingredients, and made in the USA or Canada. Our dog will only eat meat flavored treats and food, so I think he will be very happy with both of these!

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nov 2014 Wipes

H.W. Barkley's Apawthecary Cleaning Wipes - $4

We buy the pet-safe winter salt for our driveway, but since I'm sure we walk on regular salt during winter walks, these will be great for wiping down Buckles' paws this winter!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $36. I'm always happy with the value of these boxes since we signed up for an annual plan and spend less than $20 a box. Our dog is a little picky when it comes to toys - he only likes plush squeaker toys - so we lucked out with toys this month too!

What did your dog think of the November BarkBox?

I already wrote to bark box regarding my disappointment on 11-17-14. I have not heard from them since.

That is a cute box. I never posted about my doggies’ box. They received the PLAY Carrot Plus, Wagatha’s Kitchen Sink, Petprojekt Dogmeat Turkey Leg, Superior Farms Bully Stick, and Diggin Your Dog Charki-O’s. The extra toy is Petsafe Squeak n Treat Booya.

The turkey leg looked like the real deal with the packaging.

My dogs love barkbox and they now think that every box that comes to our house is for them! I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get the cute chef hedgehog but we got the squeaky turkey leg toy and I one other I can’t remember (I think it was a ball). My dogs have never been disappointed. 1 lab/doberman mix and 1 basset hound 🙂

I received the large dog box, this was my 2nd month, I did the buy one get one month free. I got the chef hedge hog in a large size (freaking cute!), Wagatha’s biscuits (big hit), cow gullet strip, kind of like jerky, my dog loved this and snarfed it right up. Turducken treats (another hit), Bully Stick (disappeared fast) and a Zukes clean apple crisp dental bone which was huge, I should have tried to half this. The whole box was a hit, so no complaints here. Although that small dog cornucopia is soooo cute.

I went in to cancel because $29 is just too much for me right now and I think that is a lot for the box. I marked it was too expensive and it offered me the box at $19 month to month with a 3 month minimum commitment. I thought this was awesome!

I got the cute chef toy, too! Also got a rubber turkey leg and treats. I may have to order the cornucopia toy though. My dog loves those kind of toys and so long as I supervise her, she doesn’t shred them!

I get the large box for my 50 lb (approx. I think) female black lab. The only thing I received that was the same as Liz is the toy with the chef outfit on. We also received a rubber turkey leg thing. Lucy loves this and all the other toys BB sends. She has a bazillion toys and I wish BB would send one toy and the rest food. It is something we look forward to every month and I am generally happy with food items.

I love BarkBox! I have 8 dogs over 50 lbs. and 1 smaller dog. They love the treats that are included. I have found that the toys are great quality. So many dog toys that I used to pick up at Wal-mart or Target would get destroyed in a month or so. I think out of about 10 BarkBox toys, we have only lost one due to destruction. There is a nice variety of treats each month too. I have found the best deals for BarkBox on Groupon. I paid about $79.00 for a 6 month subscription they had several months ago, running about 13.00 a month. That is a steal for the quality toys and treats that you get!
PetBox is also a good pet subscription box(also can be found on Groupon at times). It is nice because you can customize your box if you want to. I found with PetBox, when you are choosing your items, you can pack both cat and dog items so that was nice.

I’m excited for mine to come, though if we get more stuffed toys I think I’ll have to send them a message because last month that octopus toy got destroyed in about 2 minutes by my 11 month old German shepherd.

Definitely message them! I’m pretty sure they will send a replacement toy.

Their customer service is great and they will put your dog on their heavy chewer list so you will get tougher toys for future boxes as well.

I have a big older dog who loves furry plush toys (to carry and lick) and refuses non-plush toys (like this month’s turkey leg squeaker). I wish Bark Box allowed for this kind of customization.

We got the same exact box. I think I liked everything more than my dogs – as long as there is a toy and treats, they’re happy. I can’t get over how adorable the little cornucopia is, and love that the food items come out. One of my dogs is a fairly aggressive chewer (especially for a 30 pound dog – he’s my destruction engineer) and I have found that overall Bark Box sends some really great toys that have stood up fairly well.

if anyone gets the large dog sub to this box would you mind sharing your thoughts on it (ie if your dog likes it, variety of items) I’m thinking about getting my Georgie this! He’s 60 lbs:)

My dog is over 50 pounds so I got her the large size, and requested items for heavy chewers, too. I post pics on my site of the boxes she gets so you can take a look at several month’s worth of her BarkBox. I also have actually been comparing it with the PetBox service in a “side-by-side”, in case you are shopping around.

I have had the large dog sub since April 2013. I have not for once got disappointed. My then puppy (born Feb 2013) loves every single toy and shares them with his canine sister. I have 4 dogs, besides the finicky one they love 90% of the treats. They sent out a glow in the dark ball last year that my dogs are scared of, and they sent a flashing one last month, so I emailed them and they gave me $15 to spend in the store and told me to donate the item to a rescue or shelter, which I do anyways. I renewed an annual sub in June for $199 with no coupons. They always ship around the middle of the month, and somehow their deal with DHL is so much better than Goodebox’s deal, because it moves pretty quickly, which I love. My Goodebox sits in the sorting facility for days, and have never happen with Barkbox. Their service is really good. I have almost 20 sub boxes and I would rate them as top 3 overall.

I have a 67-pound greyhound and he loves all the stuff in Barkbox. The boxes I’ve gotten have the same mix of things that Liz gets, but the toys are bigger – I’d say that’s probably the real difference. They seem to have good deals regularly, so give it a shot!

My cousin gets them for her boxer and her Great Dane and they love them!

This was my first BarkBox, and while the selections were different in our box, Ruby went nuts over it! I couldn’t have been more pleased.
