I received the eye shadow pallette from boxycharm (not moscow) though I was not too thrilled. Color club meh, lashes meh and I already have the Cynthia Rowley eye liner so I will pass. I do love some of there limited edition boxes though so I cannot wait to see what they have next. =)

Neither of them interest me. My favorite special boxes they’ve had so far has been “In Bloom” and The Mermaid box. Those were amazing.

I have a lot of points saved up but I don’t think these are for me. You know the Mermaid LE box? I have the actual physical box full of perfume samples that have come from various subs. I will never need to buy perfume. And fake eyelashes are an automatic turnoff (though I like the other stuff from the first set, I’m a bit overloaded on eyeliner at the moment and I have blue eyes so I’m not sure blue shadow is a good idea). Hopefully they will have something around the holidays I can use my points on, or else I’ll just be practical and load up on shampoo and conditioner.

Made a large order to Hitchcock last week that included the free sample.pack. but when it came I got two TINY foil packet samples. So disappointed, in the past I have always gotten “real” samples that were often deluxe sized

The same thing happened to me Misha! And it was an $80 order! I was annoyed but didn’t think about complaining but I think I will. Those “mystery packs” are definitely not worth $10.
As for the scent box….they are ripping off a concept by Sephora…..except with that you get the samples and a voucher for a free rollerball of your choice. I received one of these for my birthday and loved getting to try them all ( I do love scents) and making my choice. I really like the Juliet Get your Gun scent, but it is too expensive!

I thought of the Sephora perfume sampler sets when I saw this too. I think the Sephora sets are a much better value.

I love the Sephora sets. I did the mascara one — it was like $25 and it’s enough mascara to last me 8 months (counting the full-sized one I got with the voucher, which has a retail price of greater than $25 so I made out pretty well). And it was an excuse to check out the new Sephora store they put in the mall near me.

E-mail them to complain. They should send you out a replacement. Last time I ordered, they sent me 2 foil packets as well. As a replacement they sent me a perfume sample (spray, so multi-use) and a lip and cheek tint from the Balm (also multi-use). Granted, I’d received both the replacement samples as products in my regular Birchbox earlier on, but at least they sent me something more substantial the second go-around. (They even did UPS next-day air, which was overkill, but their CS was very responsive.)

I agree. When I estimate the value of the fragrance samples, I usually get about $3 per vial. The $30 off is no incentive since there is a limited selection and they are all high cost items. If I could use the discount on one of the lower priced items, I might be more interested. But honestly they need to put a lot more items, maybe some fragranced lotion, etc. in that box or lower the cost. Many of these are free at department stores and places like Ulta and Sephora. The other box just doesn’t interest me. A few months ago they asked me to fill out a survey on how interested I would be in extra boxes. I based my answers on a box that I bought that was loaded with beauty products. Most were drugstore items that they sometimes include as a bonus in our regular boxes, but most were delux or full sized and was a great value. The extra boxes that they have offered don’t measure up in value, but I have noticed that I haven’t gotten any extra finds in my Birchbox lately.

Neither of these thrills me, but I most definitely would not buy the scents box. I never use and have had no success giving away all of the tiny perfume samples I’ve amassed from subscription boxes — and I’m new to this!
