Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Box

Love with Food is a monthly snack and food sampling service. In addition to their regular $12 a month subscription, they recently introduced a gluten-free box. I avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, so I had to sign up and give this one a try!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Items

The Subscription Box: Love with Food Gluten Free

The Cost: $32 a month ($25 a month with annual subscription)

The Products: 8-12 gluten-free items each month. All food included will be organic or all-natural, and for each box shipped, 2 meals will be donated to charity.

Ships to: US

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Info

The box comes with a fold out sheet detailing the items included. Since I'm always reading the ingredients of everything I eat, I really appreciate that they list out the ingredients for each item and also indicate which items are vegan, organic, etc.

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Cup 4 Cup

Sam Mills Short Bread Cookies - Value $3

Cup 4 Cup Chocolate Brownie Mix - Value $11.50

I've heard great things about Cup 4 Cup mixes, but I had thought that they included dairy, so I never tried them. Turns out this brownie-mix is dairy free! I can't wait to make these brownies now! And since it's a pricey brownie mix, I'm glad I get to try it out via subscription box first.

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Falafel

Flamous Organic Spicy Falafel Chips - Value $4 total

These chips are one of those very rare items that are dairy and gluten free, and my husband loves as much as I do. (He doesn't have any eating restrictions like I do).

We just ordered more of these - they are that good. (And not too spicy).

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Justins

Justin's Chocolate Almond Butter - Value $1.25

Justin's Honey Almond Butter - Value $1.25

I love these Justin's almond butter packets. (I know I should be using them as a dip or spread, but I've been eating them straight out of the packet!)

(This box also came with a Cup 4 Cup $2 coupon).

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Sweets

Surf Sweets Organic Jelly Beans - Value $2 total

Stroopie's - Value $3 total

Lovely Candy Co. Caramels - Value $2

I couldn't eat the caramels or the Stroopies because of dairy (that's probably a good thing because I wouldn't be able to stop!), but these surf sweets jelly beans were a nice sweet addition to the box.

Love with Food Gluten Free Box Review - October 2014 Bean Chips

Beanfields Bean & Rice Chips in Ranch - Value $1.50

Skout Black Pepper BBQ Raw Pumpkin Seeds - Value $4.50

Beanfields chips are in so many food subscription boxes, so personally I'm not too excited about seeing these in the box since I want to try out new products, but these Ranch chips are pretty tasty.

These Skout pumpkin seeds are completely new to me - and they are probably my favorite discovery in the box. They are organic, vegan, and so addictive!

Verdict: This box has a value of $34. I'm really pleased with the value since most food boxes at best break even in value. I'll probably switch to the annual subscription soon to get the best value though. I also really like everything I've sampled so far. (I may be a little overly enthusiastic about this box since it's one of the few boxes I get where I can eat most of the items!)

What do you think of the new Gluten Free Love with Food box?

overall im on the fence about food boxes. im GF so i could eat all in this box (yeaaa!) BUT a lot of food boxes have so many processed foods and sweets that i almost think they are not good for me. for me personally i feel like maybe abox like this might just be my license to eat GF junk food cuz i could ? does that make sense ? though i do think its nice and i did subscribe to a box at first when i was GF and it was helpful to introduce me to things that are there if i want them.

I just tried using the discount code you mention above but it does not work, an error comes up. Do you have another code? Thanks.

Sorry about that – FB50 should work for 50% off a gluten free box.

I love the idea of this box, but (believe it or not!) like you, I’m also gluten- AND dairy-free due to food allergies, and I think I would be disappointed to have so many items in the box that I still can’t eat due to the dairy ingredients. The G-Free Foodie Box is probably a better choice for folks like us, because they do offer a gf/df box and a Top 8 Allergen-free box as well.

thanks so much for reviewing this! I’ve always avoided subscription food boxes because of the gluten thing, but I think I may try this eventually! Looks delicious…
