This month's theme is Spanish Tapas. Each box comes with a folded sheet detailing each of the items included.

And on the back of the sheet are recipes.

Hamptons Lane Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Oct 2014 Pan

Vaello Steel Paella Pan - Value $35

I'm so excited about this box because of this pan. Paella is one of those recipes that I've always wanted to make since it is easy to make a dairy/gluten free version, but I never got around to buying a pan. And now Hamptons Lane sent me a pan made in Spain!

Hamptons Lane Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Oct 2014 Olives

Pata Negra Imperial Spanish Chorizo - Value $14.95

Dequmana Arbequina Olives - Value $9

This Chorizo is made in the USA, but the olives are imported from Spain. (Both are made with natural ingredients - which I appreciate).

Hamptons Lane Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Oct 2014 Peppers

Matis Navarro Organic Piquillo Peppers - Value $17

Pimenton De La Vera Smoked Paprika - Value $6

These are both products of Spain - the organic peppers look delicious!

Verdict: I'm a fan of Hamptons Lane for a two big reasons: 1) I really like that you can preview the box each month and skip any box you aren't interested in. Just like Bespoke Post - love it! 2) I think their curation has been excellent. Every food product I've tried from this subscription has been very high-quality, and a lot are items I couldn't find in my local grocery store. The value is pretty good too. This month's box has a value of a little over $80!

I think I'm going to try out the Paella recipe this weekend - I'll swap the seafood for chicken though. I'm still not too adventurous when it comes to cooking!

What do you think of the October Hamptons Lane box?

Off-topic question: Have you heard anything about Popsugar this month? I cancelled because it seems really strange they haven’t billed or said anything about the box this month… Also, on facebook it seems like they aren’t communicating with people who are reaching out via email.

They billed me on the 5th but I haven’t heard anything about shipping. I’m not so crazy about them at the moment as they are crediting my referrals to 2 of my friends, saying my friends didn’t use my link when they did, one of them was next to me. Even though one of them send them an email telling them, they still haven’t credited me anything.

So not loving their attitude after the new site came up..

I had that problem last year, and my sister even threatened to cancel her new subscription, so instead of crediting me the box they sent a box of “favorites” – ie extras from previous boxes that nooo one was excited about.
