Googaro Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Box

Googaro is a monthly baby and kids subscription box. I’m always looking for more baby and toddler gifts, so I decided to sign up for this one when there was a RueLaLa deal a few weeks back. (That deal is no longer available, but if you follow the newsletter I will post the next time I find one!)

This box I’m reviewing is for a girl ages 2-3.

Googaro Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Toms

Bumble Bar Organic Energy Bar in Cherry Chocolate - Value $2

Tom's of Main Fluoride Free Toothpaste in Silly Strawberry - Value $4

O.R.E. Snack Containers - Value $8

I've tried other Bumble Bar flavors and was never a huge fan, but this cherry chocolate flavor won me over. It's now on my very short list of dairy-free and gluten-free options when I need a chocolate fix!

And I seem to always need new tupperware containers, so I'm happy that this O.R.E. set is BPA-free and dishwasher safe! (And very cute too!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $32 (that's counting the sale price of the Boon Trap bath toy - not the retail value). It's a little lower than the $35 cost of the box, but last month's box had a value of about $47, so I'm not too concerned about value with Googaroo just yet. (We'll see how my November box stacks up next month!)

I'm definitely impressed with the product curation of this box. Every item I looked up to get prices for has excellent reviews, so I really do believe they are putting together a box of "best of" products each month.

Do you subscribe to Googaro? What do you think of it?

Liz – I’m glad that you are open to a mom reviewer. My children have aged out of most of the children boxes. When I look at this box I do see a wonderful value. Higher quality toys are hard to find on sale.

When I look at this box I see bath toys that are safe for a toddler and age appropriate. The puzzle is perfect for a 2 year old and the vegetable-based ink is safer for children who mouth for their toys. The gluten-free/dairy free bar is perfect for mom especially if she has a little one she is still nursing who may have food allergies. The fluoride free toothpaste is wonderful for training them to brush their teeth because you can worry less if they swallow. The snack containers are great because they are leak-proof and shatter resistant which is perfect for those times when you are feeding a toddler who decides to drop the container.
