Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Box

Five Four Club is a monthly men’s clothing subscription service. You take a brief survey when you sign up (sizes and style preferences), and then each month they send you on average 2-3 new clothing pieces or accessories.

My husband has been subscribing for over a year now and in general is very happy with the quality of the clothing and the value. (We’ve found the sizing to be similar to American Eagle’s sizing if that helps!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Grey Shirt

Five Four Fern Button Down Shirt - Value $60

Both of these button down shirts are made with 100% cotton.

Five Four Royal Blue Button Down Shirt - Value $60

Verdict: This wasn't my husband's favorite month of Five Four - only because he prefers more casual looks. Both of these shirts are good staples to have in the closet though, so no complaints here! In general I would say Five Four's pricing is a little inflated, but when I look at what we received for the $60 a month cost I'm usually happy with the value. I think two dress shirts for $60 is a good deal. And hopefully next month they send some hoodies and pants!

What did you get from Five Four this month?

Hi Liz! Question: have you had issues with Five Four’s shipping lately? We only just got Sept about a week ago (well past their promised delivery time) and have already been charged for Oct (before we even received Sept). My husband really likes them but they’ve been a bit off with shipping and their customer service isn’t as responsive or even apologetic about holding up their end of the deal. Curious about your experiences with their CS etc.

We had huge issues this month as well – even accounting for the fact that we are in Canada and sometimes shipping to us is stupidly slow. We were charged for our order mid-September and waited. . . and waited. . . for a shipping notice. We received an email from a customer service rep indicating that our order would be shipping soon. A week went by and I emailed customer service and received no reply for over a week. Finally, my husband called customer service since we were not excited about being charged for November’s box before receiving October’s. The rep was very nice, paused our account so we wouldn’t be charged for anything, and indicated that they had had issues in the warehouse regarding the boxes (not being logged in the system? some sort of computer glitch? I forget exactly) and that she would ensure his box was shipped straight away. Another week went by and we did not receive any shipping info either by email or on the Five Four website but the order suddenly appeared at our door. To make things even more interesting, a second order arrived the next week! We weren’t charged for two so I think they might have shipped the first but didn’t record it in their system so when we complained, we were shipped a second. Weirdest thing. For the moment, we’re going to keep the account on pause until things get straightened out (and our budget is a little more flexible).

Oops. . . my bad! It was the September box we were waiting for. It arrived mid-October, hence my error.
