Bronx Pale Ale Beef Jerky – 2 oz, value: $11.99
Liddabit Sweets Beer And Pretzel Caramels – 3.25 oz (6 pieces), value: $8.99
When I opened the bag and noticed how good this jerky smelled, I knew I’d like it. I’m not generally a huge jerky fan, but maybe I’ve just never had proper beef jerky before! This jerky’s made with the Bronx Pale Ale, as well as soy sauce, mustard, honey, and molasses.
Sigmund’s Pretzel Chips – value: $3.99
Bronx Brewery Pale Ale Radiators Pasta – 16 oz, value: $10.99
These pretzel chips are great when dipped in a mustard or cheese sauce, or even on their own. On Farm to People’s website, they also recommend putting the crumbs and small pieces on a salad, and I have to agree that that sounds like an especially good idea!
The Mustard Factory Spicy Stout Mustard – 6 oz, value: $8.99
Brooklyn Brine Co. Hop-Pickle – 16 oz, value: $9.95
Both of these items are said to be extra tasty on burgers! Unfortunately, I am not a fan of mustard or pickles, so these will be either gifted or swapped!
Verdict: This month’s Farm to People box was themed around Oktoberfest and beer. I’m not a beer drinker, so I think that a lot of what makes the items in this month’s box different or unique was unfortunately lost on me. I do like the jerky and pretzel chips, but the rest will most likely get passed along.
Objectively speaking, however, I think this was a great theme to have this month, and they found a great variety of very interesting foods that all worked well within the theme! As far as value goes, this month’s box adds up to $55, which isn’t bad at all.
