10 samples for $18 and almost everything was complete garbage! Not even worth listing them out here, the only thing of value was the dermalogica daily microfoliant. I basically paid $18 to try it. Never again with these mystery boxes.

I’m not sure how I ended up getting shorted two samples. And then the other eight that I did receive included THREE perfume samples and a foil packet that doesn’t have anything in it! I am so upset!!!!

I feel like I was a little let down by a few of the things in my box. I got box a and box b with 10 samples each. Between the 2 boxes i got 4 perfume samples! I don’t care if they are expensive ones I don’t think they even smell good! Along with those I also got this ugly bobby pin clip thing and a self tanner I will never use. Besides those few let downs I am happy with everything else I got especially the dermalogica daily microfoliant. I have used this product before and I love it. I also got a few different moisturizers and a nice color nail polish. Overall I think it was still an awesome deal, I just wish it didn’t have so many perfume samples.

Love that you put the values. I started a spreadsheet but couldn’t figure out the candles or fragrance. I knew each box was $100 at least the moment I opened them but to hear $300 total is amazing. I’m recently 40 and have oily t-zone so for me these products are perfect balance of anti aging and oily skin.
When they last had the mystery boxes I gave my son most of the cleansers and I kept 1/3rd of the items and I listed a lot of items…like 8 fragrances. This I know I will mostly use. I love those Tatcha papers but would never pay $12 for them.

Thanks to you and everyone else who posted the contents of their boxes. I am glad I did not give in to temptation, because I have most of these items already.

My boxes got here today and easily each had $100 of value in them. I did the 2 $25 ones (1 each of A and B) and I used my September coupon for $10 off so paid $42 total (included tax). Looks like you already have lists of items so I’ll look to see if mine is matched to any of those. I too was shocked they could get 15 samples in each box and I was pleased to see such valuable items – the Sonya Dakar alone is $40-$45 (crazy I know but boy is that stuff ahh-mazing – here is a hint – try it on the back of you hands to make them look younger). I also was pleased to get items from recent boxes since the revamp.

I bought all boxes available, $25 box A and B, $18 box A and B, $10 box A and B. All boxes had different items. I got only 2 duplicates (sonya Dakar and H2O)

Oh, 3 duplicates! The last one was Lorac primer.

The only time it pays to live in PA for subscription boxes 🙂 I put away my samples so hopefully I listed all of them. I was surprised to see they fit 15 samples in one box. Still no Philosphy.
1. Illume Balsam & Cedar Soy Candle – smells good
2. LORAC POREfection Matifying Face Primer – is this from this month’s box?
3. Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream – Same size as the one in this month’s BirchBox
4. Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes
5. Juice Beauty Steam Cellular Repair CC Cream SPF 30
6.Sonya Dakar Flash Facial (sample size of what was in FFF summer box)
7. Caviar Cream 10 in 1 Complete Correction Leave-In Hair Protector
8. Immortelle Perfection Cream

14. Jane Iredale PureLash Extender and Conditioner – received 2 from last mystery sale which I gave to my sister.
15. Jane Iredale Longest Lash – Not sure what it is because it looks like a tube.

5. Murad Exfoliating Cleaner

Got mine! Super happy. 30 items – 15 items per box, as advertised. (Note, usually 5 samples cost you $15 on the monthly sub, so 15 samples would be $45. 2 boxes of 15 samples would be $90. I’m very happy to have paid $40 for 30 samples.)
It’s very skincare heavy, which works for me. I’m 52 and go through skin cream waaaaaaay faster than makeup. Plus how many eyeliners, lip glosses, and nail polishes can one human even use. Also? Skin products are expensive. So I’m happy!
Each box has a candle (ugh), 2-3 makeup items, 1-2 hair items, and the rest skin care. I’m very satisfied. 🙂

– Herban essentials lavender aromatherapy towelette (1)

Glad you have these lists because I got the same but not the hair ties. I think for $42 I paid it was amazing value. Aside from the lavender towlette I will likely use everything and swap very little.
Shana
Thanks for the list! I was really curious. Some of these things don’t even look like they have been in those boxes in the past year and a half or so. Looks like fun though, I want more skincare too 🙂

I ordered these SS boxes off of soap.com so I could use an additional 20% discount with the promo code YESTOSOAP. Yes, you can use multiple promo codes.

Anyone have a code from their sample society box they’re not using that I can use? I’m not a subscriber and the code above won’t work for me. Thanks!

Sneaky Burrito
The code above *is* the code from the sample society box. I guess they can see through your account whether or not you got a September box.

It’s in stock for the $25 boxes. Can someone help me? How long will these last usually? Will they be available a week from now?
Reply
PA Anna
Usually a few hours. This might last longer because people stocked up during the last sale which was a few months ago.
Reply
PA Anna
Wow, Brandy! They are still available. Maybe the will be next week. They did run a few big sales a couple months ago with a even larger discount. I’m tempted to buy another set although I’m getting near my limit of what I think is acceptable to have sitting around my house. Still it is hard to resist! I hope the boxes are available for purchase next week.

Thanks Liz for the info. I was in such a hurry to order the $25 boxes that I did it wrong. I brought 1 box instead of both. However, I called customer service. They added the missing box and applied the $10 discount as a credit to my account.

I got ten boxes last time, so I really should have passed these up. But I have no self control, so I got the two $25 ones. Yay for indulging myself!

The 25$ boxes are available again. I just ordered 2 and used the 10$ off, so 30 samples for 40$ is a great deal. Thanks for posting this!

I am sample society’s bitca so I jumped right on that. I got the 2 $25 boxes (box A and box B) with the $10 off… so 30 samples for $40, free shipping.
I was allowed to pay through my amazon account, which I appreciated.
Also it SAYS they will arrive tomorrow. I will post what I get.
Personally I prefer spending $40 on something which I know is all beauty (makeup or skin care)… as opposed to spending $40 on a PSLE or FFF or similar, when I find there are 1 or 2 value items and then a lot of crap thrown in that I don’t actually need and would never buy. Especially snacks.

OK, so I used the code and ordered an A and a B. I’m a new subscriber and my first box came just last week, so I think that might keep duplicates to a minimum.
If you buy these, check your email receipt. Although my email receipt shows A and B, the confirmation page looks like I ordered two A boxes. I had to add them separately into the shopping cart. I’m sure it’s fine but it took me a few seconds of staring at the screen thinking, hey, that can’t be right.

I actually just called customer service about this same thing. If you look at the invoice that comes to your email it will show correctly. They are having the tech team look into it from the website side, but the order side is correct.

Awesome, Wendy! I was just about to call them to be 100% sure — this helps!

I think with the $10 off, I can’t go wrong ordering 2 of the $25 boxes. I love my Sample Society subscription but I’ve only been a member for 3 months.
Also, if anyone is interested, Ruelala is selling PopSugar Must Have boxes for $24.95. It says it is for 1 intro box and then you are auto subscribed at the current rate but you can cancel that.

Cindy
I didn’t love mine last time even though it was only my second foray into subscription boxes. So it’s not like any were duplicate items. And, the price is higher this time, isn’t it?

Help Liz! So sorry, but I’m trying to find an email for the swap and can’t find anything. I also tried to click “contact” at the bottom of your site, but it’s super slow and saying “database error”
I have an issue with the swap site. A user with a fraudulent account is on again and I have matching address to prove it. Please let me know who I can report this to. I already sent her $80 worth of stuff, so hopefully it gets taken care of before it happens again. Sorry to reach out here, but nothing else is working and I know you’re really active with comments. Thanks.
