New Subscription from Rent The Runway: Unlimited

Rent The Runway Unlimited

Rent the Runway has launched a Beta Unlimited subscription service - and while I normally shy away from clothing/accessory rental subscriptions, this one looks kind of fabulous!

The Subscription: Rent the Runway Unlimited

The Cost: $75 a month (includes all shipping)

The Products: Accessories like jewelry, sunglasses, jackets, purses, etc. (All designer brands ranging up to $2000 in value)

How it works: Just like Netflix - fill your queue with items you want, and Rent The Runway will ship you three to have at a time, you can ship back items as frequently as you like and get them replaced with new items from your queue.

What do you think of this new rental subscription service? I like that Rent the Runway already has the infrastructure in place to ensure speedy deliveries and returns, and I'm thinking about giving this service a try.

Wow! I like everything but the jacket as it probably wouldn’t fit me. Very nice! But like Netflix I’m hoping they allow items you want or sizes and customization? Up to $1000 in out of this world amazing! 🙂

I got a Halston Heritage tank top on clearance at TJ MAXX for $20 just a week ago. I don’t know who falls for these programs but if you are someone who is constantly on trend that you don’t even wear “last seasons” garb or even something that is so “last week” maybe this service would be for you…

I think that’s too much money for things you aren’t going to keep. That’s almost a $1,000 a year!! Not to mention, what would happen if an item was lost or damaged?! On top of that crazy Subscription fee, you would get charged for the item at full retail price?! No thanks!!

I don’t know if I am the only one that constantly has the caps fall off my pens and lipstick.. and inevitably sit on my sun glasses in the car constantly.. but that service is a disaster waiting to happen. At least for me. I’d destroy their stuff. lol

I would send everything back covered in cat hair…

I don’t think I would like to wear earrings that someone else had worn. A necklace, sure. A shirt, if it got washed, sure. A purse, no problem. Sunglasses, I don’t know, they’re right on your face. And no shoes (don’t know if shoes are offered, though).

Ah, well, for $75 I can just go to Marshall’s or TJ Maxx and get quite a lot. I do not care one bit what designer name is on a label. I would look ridiculous getting out of my 2002 Saturn (with 120,000 miles on it) in any $2000 clothing item (which would probably be worth more than my car).

Best response ever:)

My friend tried this service out and ended up cancelling it within the same month. She had jewelry, bags, jackets, and scarves in her queue and kept only getting sent jewelry and she’d get like 3 rings or 3 sets of earrings at a time. She was really disappointed in it. Just a caution…
