People are so negative. I love glossybox. Its th e best value and products of all the boxes. For 21 dollars I get amazing products. I am excited for October. I have loved every box – never had anything missing. I love your blog too.

I don’t know what’s going on at Glossy but they have not only so far refused to respond to my messages about the missing full size BB cream that was supposed to be included in the 3 month sub deal I purchased in Sep but this morning charged me AGAIN for an identical 3 month sub, covering Oct-Dec, at full price! They don’t answer when you call, just force you to leave a message. Calling and actually speaking to a rep isn’t as easy as it sounds – just FYI folks (this is is a common occurrence with Glossy). They have sent me 2 non-responses to emails (I had to manually email them as their internal “contact us” message system is also not working).

I’m absolutely furious that I not only haven’t gotten what I purchased (the BB cream was the only reason I resubbed when I did since it meant getting 2 Sep boxes), but they’ve gone and billed me for yet another 3 months without any authorization? They either fix this today or they’re getting hit with a credit card chargeback and the fees that go with it. I’m done with Glossy. After 18 months of this utter nonsense I’ve had it.

The October Glossybox will be my last. I cancelled within the terms, but they still tried to get me for another 3 month subscription. I emailed customer service and reached out on facebook. Both got back in touch with me rather quickly.

The products are pretty good, but the logistics are so frustrating. I hate that I’m billed for “box A” on the 15th of one month and may likely not receive that box until the 15th of the following month. I may end up resubscribing sometime in the future, but only with a coupon code and a prepaid card.

I’m so over this subscription. I was charged for August and September within days of each other due to the timing of when I joined. I just got my August box last Friday and it was missing the shampoo and conditioner and the Eyeco mascara from the coupon code. CS still hasn’t responded to my emails. Now September box nowhere in sight. Neat samples arent even tempting with service like this.

I never got thru with their CS. I subbed august because of the mascara cos I want to use it as a gift. I just got it yesterday, and I signed up the beginning of aug. It took numerous messages via Facebook. However, on the other hand, I think boxycharm has great customer service, my lipstick melted in my august box, I took a picture and CS told me I will get a replacement in my sept box, but may not be the same color. I got a replacement in my august box with a different color, which is ok. It also include a small card that they have replaced my damaged item. I was impressed.

So, every time I contact their customer service thru the website, I don’t receive a reply. This has been a problem for at least a year, maybe longer. If you contact their FB page, you will get a quick response, and each time, they say that Customer Service never received the message I sent using the form on their website. I have let them know that the whole sub box community is disgusted with their customer service, and that this problem isn’t a new one!

I signed up last month with the 20% code. My best friend had gifted me a 3 month subscription for my birthday in March, and I loved it (my last box was bergdorff). I never had any shipping issues before.

This time, I subscribed for the September box, but instead of sending me the Harper’s box, they sent me a leftover August box. I honestly wasn’t terribly impressed with the HB box and liked the August box just as well or better, so I didn’t call to complain. However, now I’m curious what would have happened if I had since there is so much negativity about their customer service.

I signed up for a six month subscription, paid in advance, so I’ll wait a few more months to decide if I want to renew or not. Most likely I’ll cancel and then hope for another coupon code to resubscribe. With the code it’s just over $15/month, which is an excellent value for this box, in my opinion.

I absolutely love Tarte and a deluxe benefit mascara? Seriously? I have been counting the months I would get this in a sub and have not and I heard ipsy had it before I was a subscriber.

I have not been reading many posts on glossy box because of the temptation and addiction as I am already getting sample society; birch box; ipsy; boxycharm and blush on and off. The reason this company was my last choice is because of the samples and at $21 a month seems a little high for samples PLUS shipping delays and being harder to cancel with CS issues. I wish I could just get one month and cancel easy.

I want Tarte and Benefit they’re real mascara so bad I cannot stand it. Lol!

Wishing I had a prepaid card to try for a month; I may just do that.

I am already excited about the spoilers from all my sample co’s already! I love these spoilers. Toooo tempting so we’ll see.

From my own recent experience if you sub at the end of the month, they will charge you for that month (Sept) and the following month (Oct.)…so I think you will have to wait until Oct. 1 and hope the coupon is still valid or possibly there will be more coupons available then. I am going to wait for October 1 to sign up. I don’t want 2 Sept. boxes.

These almost make me want to resub for October, but I’ll be on my honeymoon the last week of and don’t want my box sitting on my porch for days on end. Unlike other’s I have never had a problem with Glossybox shipping or customer service.

Ah thanks, I don’t know if I’m more excited about it being my honeymoon or not going to work for a week… Either way I’m ready!! I think my secret with Glossybox was not to complain, my Bergdorf box was late but I just kept to myself until it showed up… Since then it’s been gravy!

They offer nice boxes. I wonder what the turnover rate is for Glossybox? Maybe if they invest in fixing shipping/warehouse issues and customer service, they might not have to run so many specials to attract new customers. I’m amazed that they are still in business which I think it is because of the amazing products they offer. I don’t want to come across as snarky and am looking at this from the perspective of a business owner.

As a person who enjoys subscription boxes, Glossybox is beyond my tolerance for customer service issues, shipping dates etc. Every once in awhile I think I should pay for the sub with a prepaid CC and not worry when the box shows up. I was really tempted by the newsletter special from last week.

I checked, and there is no tarte power pigment color called “awakening” — unless it’s a new color. I looked on Ulta, Sephora, and on the tarte webpage. Could it be another color?

Thanks! I guess since that color was listed separately from the other power pigment crayons, I must have missed it. But it is a lovely color and that makes me feel better, it seems in the several subscription boxes I get, if there is a possibility of different colors, I will always get the orangey/rust/brown colors, which make me look sick or dead. But this is great, thanks!

I don’t like being negative, but Glossybox seems to be struggling right now. My box shipping was so messed up last month (I got a tracking notice, but didn’t actually get the box until 3 weeks later!). I see that many people have already received their September box, but who knows when I’ll get mine. Given that it’s already the last week of September, I probably won’t get it until October. For the hassle vs. value, I’m over Glossybox and decided I’ll cancel. I think it’s too late to cancel for October, but at almost $300 a year, it’s just not worth it to me anymore. Plus the products are so repetitive anymore and even the collab boxes are becoming kinda boring (the Harper’s Bazaar collaboration should have been amazing, really luxurious and high end. . but it was pretty basic). I’m getting more value out of my $15/month Allure box!

I had the same problem with Glossybox. I loved it but the shipping issues were very frustrating. I switched to Boxycharm for the same price and I have been very happy with it. Plus, their customer service is great!

I thought Glossybox was only $21 a month (so $252 if you only pay monthly, and less if you buy a longer sub). I only paid $165 for a whole year but I’m not keeping it when the year is up because I am kind of over beauty subscriptions for the moment.

I’m 98% sure you can cancel for October up until the 5th. After that, you are committed. You can even do it under your settings… But save your cancellation email they send you. I have been charged after canceling and needed this as proof that I canceled within the correct time frame… It was a huge hassle. Surprise.

I’m pretty excited for October! I haven’t tried the tarte lippies yet and that matte top coat looks really appealing! glossybox always does a great job at choosing out fragrances, perhaps i just have the same taste as the curators. lol.
