FabKids Subscription Review & Coupon - September

FabKids is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls. Each month you get to pick out an outfit for $29.95, or you can skip any month. All the pieces are really well-made, and the designs are unique to FabKids. (Each month they release a new collection). I initially subscribed to get a clothing gift for my cousin, and I haven’t skipped a month since!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FabKids Subscription Review & Coupon - September 2014 Dress

Varsity Ruffle Dress - Value $28 (I paid $19.95 with VIP pricing)

I usually buy two outfits each month ($29.95 each), but since this dress alone is $19.95, it made more sense for me to buy it as a single piece and not an outfit since that would make the leggings $10. (VIP pricing of leggings is $10.95, so saving a $1 by buying this as an outfit wasn't very enticing).

The next dress costs $24.95 for VIP pricing, so I bought it as an outfit to get leggings for $5! (Plus the leggings match both dresses!)

FabKids Subscription Review & Coupon - September 2014 Plaid Dress

Plaid Skater Dress - Value $34 (I paid $29.95 total for this dress and the leggings below).

I think this is the perfect back-to-school dress! I love it!

FabKids Subscription Review & Coupon - September 2014 Leggings

Fab Soft Legging - Value $14

Verdict: I love the colors of my selections this month - the colors are bold and fun but still very fall and back-to-school oriented. I hope my cousin loves them! And as always I'm very impressed with the quality and design of these pieces. What outfit (or outfits) did you pick from FabKids this month?

I ordered the same Plaid Skater Dress/leggings for my daughter in kindergarten and a plaid shirt/khaki combo for my pre-K son. They will be happy. 🙂

I started this subscription last month for my 4 year old and it has been a lot of fun. Last month I let her choose and she picked a cotton jersey tie dye dress. This month we are waiting on one of the rock star looking kitty tees and tutu skirt. I’m passing on my love of online shopping to the next generation 🙂 Thanks for your reviews.

Haven’t spent some years in the design industry I know that synthetic fibers are inexpensive. Blends are fine but I typically purchase cotton and even cotton blends for my child. It is very durable and the hand feel always remains soft. I don’t mind spending more money for natural fibers. It’s a personal preference and I was just suggesting fiber contents be added to the reviews. If a top is reviewed and it retails for $68 I am going to want to know the fiber content. $68 100% poly top is not something i would purchase.

I was just thinking it would be lovely if you added fabric content to your reviews. I think it helps to gauge values and help to determine if this, or any other apparel based subscription service is something I’d be interested in. If most of the fiber contents are synthetic based I wouldn’t be interested because I know those are really cheap.

Thanks for the feedback – I’ll try to do that moving forward!

Not being a natural fiber doesn’t necessarily make a piece cheap. Lots of kids’ clothes are blends as it adds to durability, as in cotton-poly blends and rayon-cotton blends. I’ve certainly paid a whole lot for “non-natural” fiber kids’ clothes after dressing 4 little ones of both genders. So I wouldn’t limit yourself to only natural fibers absent a skin allergy or deeply held belief otherwise. Linen and silk are natural fibers and not cheap but I couldn’t imagine putting my little boys or girls into either. At least not more than once!

Just curious, are the clothes made of cotton? Thanks in advance 🙂

Just checked- the dress with the ruffle skirt is 100% cotton, the leggings are 95% cotton, 5% spandex, and the plaid dress is 95% polyester, 5% spandex. They also list the fabric content on each item on the FabKids site, so if you only want 100% cotton items you should be able to find them! 🙂
