Craft Beer Club Subscription Box Review - Sept

Craft Beer Club is a monthly craft beer subscription service. Every month they send you 12 bottles and information on the breweries that made those beers.

This box ships via UPS and you will have to sign on delivery. From what I can tell they ship to all states!  (We live in PA, which is often not on the list for wine or beer subscriptions).

You also get bonus gifts with your first box (Check out my review of our first box to see pictures of every thing included).

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Usually this subscription ships bottles, but I'd say once a quarter they send cans instead.

Verdict: My husband has really gotten into craft beer lately, so he loves this subscription. He prefers bottles to can shipments, but was still happy with this box, and liked every beer even though he doesn't usually go for IPAs.

For him, the value is definitely there - he pays about $3 a beer, gets it delivered to our house, and gets to try craft beer from around the country. Plus, if you live in one of the states that typically doesn't allow shipment of alcohol, then you may understand the thrill of getting this box each month!

What do you think of Craft Beer Club?

This was actually the first subscription box that I ever signed up for. We discovered some great little breweries from around the country. I really miss it and now this may inspire me to re-join! Thanks!

This might be a good christmas gift for my husband. I could do quarterly with 4 shipments to get a full “year’s” worth.

as a craft beer enthusiast and certified cicerone, beer in can form does not effect or imply quality of beer. If anything it actually preserves the beer better by not letting light in. =) always serve chilled but not fridge cold.

the reason why buds and coors always say serve ice cold is because if its not cold enough you’ll actually taste that its gross! =)

This is such a great box i’ll have to add it to the list!

Thanks!

Overpriced, IMO. Especially for cans, yuck! I know not everyone feels like this but personally, if I am not choosing my own beers (makeup, clothes, jewelry, etc), then as a tradeoff I want value. $40 for 12 beers is poor value. I can get 24 craft beers for that from the liquor store….

Looks nice but it’s kind of expensive. $3 per 12 oz of craft beer. I think i’m fortunate to live in california and have lived in washington in that there’s always been a great selection of craft beers to choose from, and especially being able to get small company big flavor brews on tap.

I got a 6 mo. subscription to this for my husband for Christmas and we really enjoyed it at first and then felt like we kept getting nothing but IPAs. It was great for a gift (and I loved seeing all the different brewery labels because I’m weird), but we didn’t continue the subscription.

I really like the idea of this box! I hope they feature breweries from around the US and not just the big ones. I will have to look into this for the Hubs for Christmas!

Wow, this looks fun! My boyfriend is really into craft beer, but I know nothing about it – this looks like it might be a fun gift for him.

This is so cool and I can’t believe I’ve never seen your post on this one! My dad would love it, and I really like the gifts included in the first box! This may be a great Christmas gift for him…. 😀
