In case you are like me and forgot to subscribe, there are 100 boxes left. It’s schedule to ship September 25. I totally forgot about it because I wanted my older son to select which 3 gaming systems that we use. It’s a question on the sub.

And I forgot to cancel the Nerd Block Classic sub by the first. I doubt the boys will complain since the spoiler is that it will include a TMNT item. They are each allowed one gamer/nerd box.

Nerd Block’s warehouse is based in Canada but it’s operations are based in the U.S. so they charge USD for their boxes. If you live in Canada, the Arcade Block comes out to be approximately $36 CAD after taxes, shipping, and exchange rate. Just want people to know that so they don’t feel blindsided by the price!

I don’t know how Loot Crate compares after taxes and exchange rate but I’m in the process of figuring that out!

I just saw this today. I wish there was an option without a t-shirt. We get t-shirts from another site and really do not need more. :/ Everything else sounds cool, though. 🙂

Just signed the dear husband up! I think he and my son will love this new box. They both enjoy the original nerd block and nerd block Jr boxes, but this seems like an even better fit. Can’t wait for the first box to come in!

Wow, 30 bucks a month is pretty steep. Are all other subscriptions this much? i know loot crate isn’t. Man that’s a shame cuz this arcade block sure sounds tempting, but not 30 dlls tempting.

Agree….too expensive. I get lootcrate for my gamer college son, and he likes it, and I know he’d love this since it’s about gaming… but I’m not paying $30.

We’ll be signing up later today. I keep telling myself no more subs LOL. This will be popular with both boys.

I received the Quarterly Toy and Collectible Box 1 today whose theme is our love of video games retro. It’s the same as the picture on Quarterly twitter. It’s going back. I thought we will be receiving something along the lines of the August GeekMeBox which I posted under a different box. This is what I received:
1. 10-Doh which I am not sure what it is. I can tell that we received Punch Out and from the Twitter picture it looks like a NES on a stick figure. Other options are Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong. My son saw the same one in the twitter picture and didn’t like the cartoon girl on it.
2. Ink Whiskey Flask – It’s a clever idea for reusing NES cartridges. The one I received is Castle Vodka. I’m not sure if it is a play on a name of a game. Neither my son (15) or I have a use for it.
3. Tf2 Sticky Bomb Plush from Crowded Coop. It is some sort of spike plush toy from Team Fortress 2.
4. TV Head – Never heard of this.
I was hoping for something along the lines of Pitfall, Pacman, older version of Legend of Zelda, older version of Nintendo memorabilia. Stuff I remember from the 80s. Once again I wish Quarterly would had post a spoiler because what I pictured was nowhere close to what was received. Time and money could have been saved if I had a better understanding what was going to be in the box. Also it did sell out. Someone else could had received the box and enjoyed it.

What do you mean ‘it’s going back’? Can you return Quarterly boxes?

I was able to return the 1000 Places box.
