New Limited Edition Beauty Discovery GlossyBox

GlossyBox has just released a new limited edition box! (Thank you Vanessa for letting us know about this one!)

The Box: Limited Edition Beauty Discovery GlossyBox (Find it in the Limited Edition section)

The Cost: $40 (One time purchase - not a subscription).

The Products:

Are you getting a box? I don't need anymore Be a Bombshell Cosmetic products, but I am intrigued by a few of the other items.

Has anyone who bought one of these received shipping yet??

I bought it. Mainly because I googled the eye serum and its retail is 62.00. So I spend 40.00 and get that at a discount and rest is basically Gift w/ Purchase.

I am intrigued by 3 of the items and the items seem too small. I will put my $40 to a better sub with full sizes, plus I have an over load right now. I prefer the monthly glossy box for less to try items that I may love. If I was wowed by the items, I would jump on board but I think I will pass.

So who wants to bet when Glossybox can’t sell out of this special edition box, they put the be a bombshell one stick in our upcoming boxes to get rid of them… blah. Very disappointed in this. How do you go from the La Prairie special edition box to this one?!?

I thought Glossybox was too high end for BaB… Won’t be buying this one. Probably would have if they did have that one stinking product in there, I would rather have drugstore makeup in a Glossybox than BaB.

This is a nope. Once I saw the BaB I was done. Which is too bad because I was really excited for the limited edition.

Be a bombshell nixed the deal for me as well, unfortunately. I was looking forward to the special edition. Well next time.

You may be able to get two uses out of it – but either way it is a very small sample!

No more Be a Bombshell!! Saw that and said NO to this!

Oh, no. The Be A Bombshell line has 2 very bad items as far as I know, and one of them is this One Stick, which was in an Ipsy bag. The other is the made in China mascara ( apparently a contaminated lot number which I did receive) shipped in an Ipsy bag in June. I received very bad products both times.

I really wanted a special Glossybox until I saw what the product brands are. Some people may say ” Oh, but you can throw that one product out’. Yes, absolutely, you can, but you are still helping a very unstable company which has its products made in China stay in business. Be A Bombshell sells to wholesalers only, as far as we have been able to determine. This may be how they stay in business.

The One Stick was a ” clumpy” product. It left particles of ” stain” when used on both cheeks and lips. Bare skin or over good makeup on cheeks, made no difference. Looked like face and lips had been bleeding and had left clots. I am NOT kidding.

Also, I think the OPI nail color is a total miss. I received a duo set in a Pop Sugar box about 2 years ago for Breast Cancer Awareness and the pink shades were much darker than this one, but the polish was streaky and extremely thin. My nails looked almost white with 3 coats.

Good luck to all who still think this is a great box. This amount of money will buy you TWO packages of wonderful skin care from Korea from either Memebox.com ( it will be a bit more but worth every extra dollar- under $10 more) or from a very nice and smaller USA shop online called Beauteque.com. They have 3 special curated sets for $20 each. I just ordered 2 of them ( couldn’t order the one with facial masks for oily skin as I have sensitive skin).
The products I have suggested have great value, but this Glosybox is trading on the Glossybox name and not the quality inside, IMO.

Thank you for the Beauteque advice! I’ve never heard of this site before, but I LOVE Korean cosmetics and they have tons of great sample packs on here! Between this and Memebox, I’m going broke lol!

I wasn’t too excited to see the lipstick or the nailpolish, but when I looked up the be a bombshell…it is not a “lipstick” it is a multi product for lips, cheeks, highlighting….and that made it better for me. I am interested in trying some of the other products and some of them are very high dollar so I bought it! :o)

There are a couple of things that interest me, but the Be A Bombshell makes it a “no” for me. I can’t believe they’d put Be a Bombshell in a ‘premium’ box.

I’ve tried “The One Stick” because ipsy sent it to me. I did not like it. It showed every little flaw in my skin when I used it on my cheeks in a way that no other powder blush or cream blush ever has. I certainly don’t want another one. (Also I can’t stand pink nail polish…)

Was excited until I noticed bombshell lipstick. Made it a no brainer not to look further.

So I actually have almost all these products that a friend picked up for at CosmoProf last month. And you have to get it. I tried Kocostar Hair Therapy, Dr. Lili Fan Eye serum and Mastey Therapy spray and love each of them. The eye serum is amazing, it has a tingly cool effect, it will really awaken your sense. The hair mask Therapy is a one use mask, but really made my hair extremely soft and repaired my damage I had from hair drying everyday. And the Mastey Therapy Spray I use almost every day because it smells fantastic and leaves my hair shiny and smooth. Great products, don’t miss it ladies!

Eh, gonna skip this one as well.

Jodie

I’m going to skip this one. Nothing too exciting.

Shana

What is the retail value of this box? Can’t see how big the Cell CPR is.

Reply ButtonReply

Caddie

I’m going to skip it. I’ve already gotten enough eye and hand cream from Glossybox to last me into next year.

The hair therapy seems interesting, but it looks like a one-time-use product.

sarah
