Nerd Block Junior Boys Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Flashlight

Skylanders Giants Flingers Pencil Topper - Value $4

The Amazing Spider-Man Project-A-Lite - Value $6?

I couldn't find the Project-A-Lite for sale online, so I'm estimating on the value.

Nerd Block Junior Boys Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Mario

Super Mario Bros. Wii Deluxe Enemy Danglers - Value $5

Angry Birds Star Wars Phone Dangler - Value $5

It seems a little strange to get two phone danglers in one box, but maybe kids love collecting these things!

Nerd Block Junior Boys Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Owl

Ben 10 Ben & Rook - Value $16

Owl Summer Fun Magazine - Value $6

Verdict: We paid $20 for this box and received about $42 worth of items. I think this month's box value and item variety is an improvement over last month, and it's a nice variety of toys and activities.

What did you think of the August Nerd Block Jr. Boy's Box?

I tried a few months back and just didn’t think the value was there. We resubbed when they indicated there was Minecraft last month. Last month was still disappointing and so was this month so we cancelled for good now. I can find more on the clearance racks for $20 that wont end up at the bottom of the toy box and that my son will actually play with.

I assumed the mario Wii dangler was to attach to your wii remote…like where the wrist strap goes?

My little guy is almost 6 and liked the box. He ignored the phone danglers which I thought didn’t fit the theme of the box since the box targets 6-12 year olds. My older son took the Angry Bird Star Wars to put on his keychain. His favorite item is the flashlight.

My 8-year-old son said “this is all just junk.” Gotta agree. Most of these things aren’t even toys. And *two* phone danglers? What are those for and why would a 6-11 year-old have a phone? My son had no idea what to do with them. He wants stuff to actually play with.
