  1. Well, got my voucher and signed up. For $4, I’m sure I’ll get my money’s worth! But, I’m not going to continue my subscription long-term because $50 a month is a little much for me.

  2. Well if you refer friends, after they make their first purchase you recieve $10 if they used your referral link. But that $25 credit was when they had a give 25 get 25 so I guess if you used the referral link on this site during that special you got 25. Unfortunately I never did, but how lucky for those who did!!

    • Thank you, I just noticed that. Maybe they might have some great deals in the future.

      • Yeah, but nothing like getting free money for doing nothing except signing up!! Lol

        • LOL!

  3. How are you gals getting these $25 credits? My Rue account has never seen one. I would live to score this box for $4. I even opened a second account hoping a credit would appear.

    • I’ll bet my Rue La La account has been open for six months and I hadn’t made any purchases with it until today. But my credit was only applied on July 31. Also, I am pretty sure I clicked through a referral link from either Liz or some other blogger.

    • Hi, I was wondering the same thing so I contacted Rue la la earlier this month and was informed it was a special they had by referring friends. So I guess they all recieved it during the time. I think the links on here are attached to referrals. Either way, I did the exact same thing and never recieved any such credit. They’re response was “too bad”

      • that would explain why i did not get the $10 credit also … i keep checking to see if i got it, have not. unless they are going to send it later

        • I dunno maybe, but judging by their response I doubt it. They told me to keep being a customer as they always have specials later on.

          • thank you, time to cancel my account with them…most interested in the $$ credit to purchase more stuff i dont need – LOL

  4. worked for me .. first time it gave me error , then i waited a few minutes and tried again .. got it for 4 bucks ! wooot .. but it says introductory box to escape monthly, will it not be one of the current months? and will it still be full sized?

    • Yeah, I e-mailed them awhile ago. But after seeing your comment, I tried again, and this time it went through. $4 for me, too! I was afraid the credit would expire — and it sounds like it does — so I wanted to use it. (I have no idea how long it had been sitting there.)

I don’t know much about Puerto Rico despite knowing/having met a lot of people from there (including some of my neighbors). But I have had a lot of Puerto Rican candy that was pretty good!

      • P.S. Makes me want to set up Rue La La accounts with 3 or 4 other e-mail addresses…

        • i had no idea that i had a credit till i got an email saying your code is expiring today !! lol so i panicked and needed something to buy cuz i didn’t want free money to go to waste lol!!!

  5. I too was not able to order this for 1-month. Was trying to use my credit and kept getting an error notice. Frustrating.

    • I got the same error. Tried twice with PayPal. Maybe they expect me to use the $25 credit on something more expensive?

  6. I had the Rue La La $25 credit on my account last spring for around a month. I didn’t realize it expires so I was surprised to login later and realize it was gone.

  7. I like this box, I’d get it, yet i do not like getting books in boxes…..

Does anyone know of an indy / artsy unique type of box with beauty products, maybe some jewelry, maybe a purse, that around $35 ( with shipping) and the value is at least 30% higher then the box with shipping value? — Limited to no food in the box.

Eco Emi is one of my favorites, yet really hoping for a jewelry, or other unique mix with beauty products. —– Open to suggestions.

    • Somebody that posts f on this list did a review for Little Lace Box on her blog. Google it. Maybe she will chime in with her blog name. It might fit what you are looking for except it is a new sub which may not be of interest.

      • I don’t know what happened with the “f” it should be frequently. Sorry.

      • Thank you for the suggestion … I do a search on it – The new subs I’m getting so far are yogisurprise and the french box. I also just signed up for bon jour jolie just because i like the variety of items they put in the boxes.

  8. Is anyone else having trouble getting this? Whenever I try to place the order I get this message: We had to update your bag because an item wasn’t available. Please try again.

    • Same error for me!

  9. How easy is this one to cancel? I have the mystery $25 credit in my account, so I could get one month for $4. And does anyone know if they send out the same boxes to regular subscribers as they do to people who sign up through flash sale sites?

    • It’ll be the same box as everyone else gets.

Cancelling is a bit of a hassle–you have to email CS, they email you back a day later asking if you are sure–next box is going to be amazing, and then you have to email back saying, “yes, I’m sure.” (It’s always two emails and there is no way to just log in and cancel yourself.) You also have to cancel several weeks (maybe 3 or so) in advance of the new box shipping to avoid getting billed for the next month.

      • I don’t think I had to put in my credit card information to use the voucher for Escape if I recall correctly. Not a 100% sure since I did a few with vouchers. This was back on the Living Social deal which I redeemed in May. My sister only wanted the Paris mini box and cancelled the sub once the mini box was on its way. It was one email to Rebecca with a confirmation back.
