Well, got my voucher and signed up. For $4, I’m sure I’ll get my money’s worth! But, I’m not going to continue my subscription long-term because $50 a month is a little much for me.

Well if you refer friends, after they make their first purchase you recieve $10 if they used your referral link. But that $25 credit was when they had a give 25 get 25 so I guess if you used the referral link on this site during that special you got 25. Unfortunately I never did, but how lucky for those who did!!

Hi, I was wondering the same thing so I contacted Rue la la earlier this month and was informed it was a special they had by referring friends. So I guess they all recieved it during the time. I think the links on here are attached to referrals. Either way, I did the exact same thing and never recieved any such credit. They’re response was “too bad”

I’ll bet my Rue La La account has been open for six months and I hadn’t made any purchases with it until today. But my credit was only applied on July 31. Also, I am pretty sure I clicked through a referral link from either Liz or some other blogger.

worked for me .. first time it gave me error , then i waited a few minutes and tried again .. got it for 4 bucks ! wooot .. but it says introductory box to escape monthly, will it not be one of the current months? and will it still be full sized?

Yeah, I e-mailed them awhile ago. But after seeing your comment, I tried again, and this time it went through. $4 for me, too! I was afraid the credit would expire — and it sounds like it does — so I wanted to use it. (I have no idea how long it had been sitting there.)
I don’t know much about Puerto Rico despite knowing/having met a lot of people from there (including some of my neighbors). But I have had a lot of Puerto Rican candy that was pretty good!

I like this box, I’d get it, yet i do not like getting books in boxes…..
Does anyone know of an indy / artsy unique type of box with beauty products, maybe some jewelry, maybe a purse, that around $35 ( with shipping) and the value is at least 30% higher then the box with shipping value? — Limited to no food in the box.
Eco Emi is one of my favorites, yet really hoping for a jewelry, or other unique mix with beauty products. —– Open to suggestions.

How easy is this one to cancel? I have the mystery $25 credit in my account, so I could get one month for $4. And does anyone know if they send out the same boxes to regular subscribers as they do to people who sign up through flash sale sites?

It’ll be the same box as everyone else gets.
Cancelling is a bit of a hassle–you have to email CS, they email you back a day later asking if you are sure–next box is going to be amazing, and then you have to email back saying, “yes, I’m sure.” (It’s always two emails and there is no way to just log in and cancel yourself.) You also have to cancel several weeks (maybe 3 or so) in advance of the new box shipping to avoid getting billed for the next month.

I don’t think I had to put in my credit card information to use the voucher for Escape if I recall correctly. Not a 100% sure since I did a few with vouchers. This was back on the Living Social deal which I redeemed in May. My sister only wanted the Paris mini box and cancelled the sub once the mini box was on its way. It was one email to Rebecca with a confirmation back.
