FYI – This is a very new service, and they are still in beta. (I’ve found that their customer care is very responsive to issues and feedback though!)

Beauty DNA Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Eye Cream

Dr. Hauschka Regenerating Eye Cream – Value $58.95

I was a little worried before I opened this box – it was so light – but I had no need to worry! (I love the Dr. Hauschka brand!) This eye cream is new to me, and so far I like it. The creme absorbs quickly and has a wonderful natural scent.

Verdict: From my experience I think Beauty DNA is getting better and better! This is another perfect match for me, and I love that I get to try this full size eye cream for only $25! What did you get from Beauty DNA this month?

  1. This was my fourth month. I think I should have gotten a hair product and didn’t, but am happy with what I got (second really good $$$ month in a row; last month was a $125 eye cream).

This month, I got MD Solar Sciences – Evening Facial Repair Serum ($96 retail value).

  2. I have been meaning to try for months. I filled out the profile but there is no way for me to review it, and every time I log on, all they ask for is payment. I was impressed that there is actually a phone number, but there was never a human voice. Emailed them to see if they can delete me so I can start all over. Never heard from them.

  3. Since I’m fairly new to subscriptions I don’t know a lot of brands but I do know this one. I received a sample of the body wash in Birchbox a few months back. It’s small so I was saving it for vacation or something. I may have to get it out and try it. It’s lemony scented I think. 🙂

I need to try Beauty DNA because I’m looking for a good facial cleanser and moisturizer or anything anti aging. I’m only 29 but starting young.

So far I haven’t recieved much of anything for a facial cleanser. Well two tiny ones from Birchbox and a few tiny moisturizers which are about out. This looks like anOther sub I need! 🙂

  4. I have been a member of beauty DNA since the start and although
I love the concept I have written to the 3 or 4 times due to damages, poor packing and leakage. I’m not a complaining type but it was becoming a pattern. Anyway it’s been hit or miss. Most items selected for
Me barely have made what I paid for box but I did like some of the items. Some not so much. Some I couldn’t try cause it was empty. I had written them and first time no problem in replacing item but when it happened 2nd time although I sent pics of box leakage etc the email sent back implied I was lying. Which as u can imagine was very insulting. A replacement was not offered and nor was a refund. Anyway I was giving it til august and finally I was actually blown away and impressed. Not with packaging which again was horrible but I got lucky and it was not damaged. I received dr Brandt cream with value of $125. Although thick I do really like it and the reviews for it seem good too. So we will try one more month

    • Here was box

    • I would love that one!

  5. I have been waiting for the August thread. I got a Collin Vital C + Peptides serum. Very enthused about this product and will try it just as soon as I finish my test bottle of Skin Inc. Custom Soothing serum that I got in a different subscription box.

This is my favorite subscription box. I love the full sized products and they are doing a good job with matching me. The one time they did not, they rectified it quickly and effectively.

  6. This will be my second month with BeautyDNA. The first month I was not impressed with the lotion hey sent me with a value of $22 and lip balm of $10. I did not see the value in my first one, but like most subs I will give it 3 months before I cancel to see if it was just a fluke because everyone always says great things about this sub

  7. I love BeautyDNA sub. I have been a member since the first month back in March. I like the concept of this sub and appreciate the full size products, but I am actually considering to cancel my sub. Because I am not able to finish the products. Each full-size product (face and body) takes at least 2-3 months to finish IF I use it everyday. At the same time, I still get other skincare products from other subs. I just feel like I dont want to stock up so many full size products, and I already have enough face serums to get through year 2015 (i love face serums though).
When I finish most of the skincare products on hand and ready to explore , I will consider to re-sub again. But I doubt when that will be since I cant stop swapping / getting new stuff!!

  8. I’ve been very happy with my Beauty DNA subscription. Last month, I got a SkinCeuticals phloretin cf serum. The serum has turned into yellowish when I opened it. I then contacted Beauty DNA and asked for possible replacement. Jennifer responded to me promptly. I received a replacement in the next few days. I am happy with their customer service.

  9. I’m loving Beauty DNA! My first month I received a Skyn Iceland cream, 2nd month was a pricey eye cream, 3rd month was Drunk Elephant C-Firma day serum, and this month I received Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Treatment. Awesome stuff for $25/month!

  10. This month’s product for me was an amazing cellulite gel. I’m a born skeptic but I did a side by side comparison and showed my husband. He was shocked to see the instant difference. And it lasted all day! Beauty DNA is 2/2 with me!

  11. They sent me a $125 eye cream last month. It’s great. I filled out the survey this morning, though, and had to say I was unlikely to ever purchase it. Because I simply cannot justify spending $125 on ANY skincare item. Without BeautyDNA, though, I would never have gotten to try such an item!
