Nerd Block Jr. Girls Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Hello Kitty

In this series there are 8 different Hello Kitty options you could get - it seems like the connecting theme is outdoor activities!

Beany Ballz Tippy the Giraffe - Value $8

This little Beany Ballz toy is adorable - and it totally gave me a flashback to when Beanie Babies were all the rage - I forgot that they include a Birthdate on the tage!

Nerd Block Jr. Girls Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Booklet

ChickaDEE Magazine - Value $6

NerdBlock Pin Art - Value $15?

I remember playing with these pin art toys all the time when I was a kid, so I think it's a good addition to the box (unless you already got one in last month's Nerd Block like we did!)

Verdict: At first glance I thought this month's Nerd Block Jr. Girl's box seemed a little light - I even checked #nerdblockjr on Instragram to make sure my box wasn't missing an item. (It's not). But the value seems to still be good -$33 (we paid $20), so I guess it is a good box! I'll be sharing this one with my cousin and I think she'll love it!

What do you think of the July Nerd Block Jr. Girl Box?

Just signed up for the girls box for my daughter and tweeted Nerd Block so they said the August box is “a good one”.

Fingers crossed as its going to Scotland and her Mummy is probably more excited than she will be!

I checked instagram too Liz, because I was pretty disappointed in this month’s girl’s Nerd Block Jr. and thought it was missing something as there were only 4 items, one we already had (the branded Nerd Block pin thingy). We already canceled our boy’s Jr box (because our son is too old for what they were sending) and I think we’re going to cancel the girl’s too, after this month.

Thank you for this review. It confirmed I made the right decision ditching nerdbox Jr. For girls. The very first box of this series included a very similar Hello Kitty surprise pack. Is it at least from a different series? The beanie baby thing is cute, but it isn’t associated with any of the girl ‘nerd’ pop culture icons. The nails art exclusive is given too high of a retail value. The magazine? Please.

This would be a great box for the little girl I babysit! She’s 5. I may consider getting her this box for Christmas. 🙂

I think they put more in the boys nerdblock every month then in the girl’s nerdblock which I think is unfair.
