Le Metier De Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Review – July

The Beauty Vault VIP subscription from Le Metier De Beaute is a luxury beauty subscription box that cost me $348 upfront for the entire year. (I’m currently debating about paying for the second year now that subscriptions are open again).

As soon as I opened the box I got excited - I could tell through the bubble wrap that it was a Kaleidoscope!

Kaleidoscope Lip Kit in Gemini Kiss - Value $95?

I can't find this exact version of their Lip Kit for sale anywhere online, so I'm not sure if it's a new or exclusive item for subscribers, or if it's from an older season. Either way it looks fabulous!

Here are the two other lip color options:

Verdict: I'm really pleased to see that they ended this one year subscription with a high-value makeup item - I know that's why I signed up for the subscription in the first place! Of course now that they've ended things on a high-note, it's making the decision on whether or not I should resubscribe even more difficult!

What do you think of the July Beauty Vault VIP box?

box so far. I signed up for the 2016-2017 vip program. I was told boxes started shipping Aug 18 and I would receive tracking information that week. By Aug 30 I still hadn’t received any tracking information, so I emailed. They replied by giving me 2 tracking numbers. The first was to a free gift they were sending because I was one of the first people to sign up. That box showed up. I am assuming the second tracking number was to the actual monthly box and two weeks later when I track it it is still showing as “usps is aware of your package and waiting for its arrival at our location” so i am to assume that means it hasnt even made it to the post office yet when they should be getting Sept boxes ready to ship.why they did not send it with the free gift box is beyond me. I have emailed several times inquiring about the status of the tracking number and have yet to get a reply. I am not sure what to do next if this box or God forbid Sept box do not show up. I am not pleased to say the least and would not recommend this subscription box as of right now.

Liz,
(or anyone else with insight to this company)
I need some help figuring out how to contact this company. I purchased the VIP yearly membership, but we moved (two months ago) and have a new address, I changed our address on the website, emailed them several times, but still have not received the monthly subscription that I already paid for. What else can I do? Any guidance is welcome.
Thank You!

I paid for this subscription two months ago, haven’t moved, and have received nothing. I emailed them, but have yet to get a response. I’m a little concerned. I don’t want to go through the bother of disputing this with my credit card company, but right now I’m really feeling like I’ve been scammed. I’ll update this post if they reply and make this right.

When we signed up back in March it april it was clearly stated that these subs run a year. The first box will ship in August, not before!

I would like to do this sub. I like the idea of receiving a high quality full size product once a month. When does the window to sign up close?

That Kaleidoscope is exclusive to the box. They started and ended with great products. I just don’t have that amount of money to put out at one time. Too bad they don’t do an automatic deduction monthly or quarterly. I’d do it then.

Yeah, I don’t ever have almost $350 at once. But $29 a month is not unreasonable. I guess they want people to stay in the whole year and not cancel and resubscribe. Maybe it allows them to plan better. But it’s not as consumer-friendly, that’s for sure.

Is it creepy that I already calculated this, because I was wondering the same thing. For Aug. 2013 through July 2014 I got a total value of $1091.75 plus Liz’s bonus kabuki brush ($85) from her first box. I’m a LMDB stalker :/

I already signed up for this year, but I’m wondering what the total for the year is vs the upfront cost. We know some months were on the lower end. I might have to go through and calculate when I have a chance.
