Eco Emi Bonus Boxes!

Eco Emi is currently offering a one-time purchase Bonus Box - 40 products for $45 (Over $115 value). I'm guessing most or all of the products will be sample sizes - but it still sounds like a great deal!

If you've ever bought an Eco Emi bonus box and recommend it let us know!

I just got my today and I’m thrilled! I’ve never ordered Eco Emi before, but I can’t wait to try all of the products. Lots of them look like items from previous boxes, I got 40 samples, including the foil packets, and I’d pay a dollar for each sample. Plus I got a flower headband from an Etsy dealer. The lavender eye makeup remover is a bit cloudy with little things floating in it, but I would assume it’s soap too. The only disappointing thing is my hand sanitizer is in candy cane with sparkles, but I’ll still use it. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this box, it shipped really fast.

Will you post a picture of your bonus box?

My box arrived. My items include a household cleaner, edible items, body items, make up and polish as well as pumpkin seeds to plant as, small candles and a low-quality eye mask. Nine of the items are foil packets.

Two of the items I received are questionable: a lavender eye makeup remover which is cloudy and has things floating in it and a mask sample (barely enough to cover face) which is completely solid and doesn’t seem usable. Also, there is a bath fizzy that was broken (no big deal) and also leaking a bit (more of a deal but not too bad).

I don’t know what the value is of all these items but the value is not $45 to me.

What about all of you?

I emailed them late Friday to ask about my two issues and if they could send replacements. We shall see what they respond.

I had junk floating in the eye makeup remover, too. It had a web address on the bottom so I am having a conversation with the manufacturer on Etsy right now. She says there’s coconut oil in there, but this doesn’t look like coconut oil to me. She later said it could also be bits of soap.

I can’t help but think it looks like when I used to accidentally grow mold in my buffers in graduate school (I have a PhD in biochemistry). I couldn’t get a good picture or I would’ve sent it to her. I’m still on the fence about using that one. In general, I prefer cosmetic and skincare products made in factories (with lot numbers, expiration dates, and tamper-proof seals!) over indie products. Just seems safer that way.

I think the rest of my box sounds pretty similar to yours, about the same number of foil packets. Couple of laundry detergent samples. Couple of sponges. Some tea lights. I didn’t have anything leaking.

I feel like I got enough stuff to justify the price, although I also think maybe Eco Emi is not for me, in the long term. But, it was good to check it out once and now I know.

This is why I like eco emi’s custom boxes. It is nice to pick what I want and what I will use. I got the eye make up remover in a box from them. I really like it. No issues as the ones you are describing. I got it in a custom box last month and have used it at least a few times. I also got the ocd fortune cookie hand santizer in the box – smells so good 🙂 – The other items I got in previous boxes. – That was why I did not get this limited edition box.

Shana

Disturbing that Eco Emi would send out stuff that was questionable. I should be getting my box soon, we will see. Sounds like it won’t be a box for me either.

Mine is supposed to come today. I’ll post here when I get it (who knows when the mailman will come? he sometimes shows up at noon and sometimes 6PM).

It’s the wrong time of year to plant pumpkin seeds…

I guess the boxes are the same? If u order multiples? I’m considering another one.

Cindy

Did you get your first one? How did it compare to mine?

Got my tracking notice and the shipper is USPS–the people with the worst tracking system!

I was wondering about this because I hadn’t heard anything, so I e-mailed them. Got a response back in less than 10 minutes. They said they received payment and they’re shipping mine tomorrow.

Cindy

Followed your advice and emailed them. It’s been an hour or so and I’m awaiting a response.

Received a response that my order has been filled and I should receive it in a few days. Does anyone know which shipper they use?

From finding this site and becoming addicted to these boxes, I have learned that I prefer UPS far above any other shipper.

Cindy

I placed an order for this last night but did not receive a confirmation email. Are others getting a confirmation email?

I got a payment confirmation from PayPal but not an order confirmation. Am thinking Eco Emi is a small outfit (since they can’t/don’t even process their own payments) and that they probably have to do a lot of things manually that are automated somewhere like Julep or the Birchbox store.

I see it as a pending charge in my CC so maybe that will post and we’ll also get a confirmation on Monday when the banks open.

Holly

I didn’t get a confirmation either…

I looked at some of the past boxes items and decided to try this. (I’m assuming it will be similar to what Yuzen recently did with the “special box” which contained items from past boxes. ) Fingers crossed!

I’m trying to decide on this special eco emi bonus box. I’m not familiar with them but I would like to give them a try and this looks like a good way to do it. Yes shipping is high but having shipped some things lately it is high and I’m sure it’s not easy to ship these boxes and make a profit. I think shipping takes a big bite out of profits on these and other boxes. I think I’m spoiled since I have Amazon prime and everything ship free with $89 annual fee. I know that is going up too but we use it a lot and it really works for us. Sometimes I wonder how they can ship cheap things for what they charge.

Anyone ever get one of Eco Emi’s boxes like this? Debating this one 🙂

I got one, I have been wanting to try eco emi for a long time. Thanks!

I’ve been signed up to Eco Emi for a year and I love my boxes each month. If you like all natural beauty & snacks you’ll really like this box. I’ve never been disappointed!

Cindy

Which carrier do they use for shipping? And is a tracking notice sent? Thanks!

Shana

Thanks, good to hear. I bought one to try.

I just today got my Haute Couture/Nordstrom bag ($25) and I LOVE it. So I’m disinclined to spend $45, especially since we don’t know what the products are…

Beauty Box 5 is doing a limited number of mystery boxes for $99, for products described as luxury/high end valued at over $200.

Not sure if I’m going for it since I’ve only received one of their regular monthly sub boxes. Granted, it was quite good but I don’t remember if it was good because of the products themselves or if it was just good for the price (I have a sale price 3 month sub for $6/month). Anyone ever buy one of their mystery boxes?

Tammy

I just got two, one for me and one as a gift, and the shipping was still only ten dollars, so it is two for eighty.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy

Well, I got an email that said the price was wrong, and that I owed them anther ten.

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

I am thinking if they screwed up the price they need to honor it. If not, seems like false advertising. I think you could get out if paying the extra $10. Good luck!

Shana

Wow. and here I was going to order two boxes for the better shipping. Probably should wait anyways and start smaller.

lily

I just got the email from them. Great deal, yet I’m reluctant to spend $45 which includes shipping – $35 ( with shipping ) is the highest I feel comfortable spending on any box. — I’ve been getting their custom boxes lately and like abilty to pick and choose the products. Not so much of a surprise / mystery but I know I will use what I’m getting.
