Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card that details each item included in your box for that month.

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Soap

Baxter of California Deodorant - 1.2 oz Value $8

Maak Lab Sea Bar - 2 oz Value $4.50

This deodorant is aluminum and alcohol free - and about half the size of the regular version, so it will be great for travel. And this soap smells amazing - and it's a natural brand that's new to me!

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Balm

Billy Jealousy White Knight Gentle Daily Facial Cleanser - 1 oz Value $2.50

Air Repair All Purpose Skin Salve - .3 oz? Value $4

I've sampled this Air Repair before (I think in a mystery sample pack), and I love it as a skin balm (not so much as a lip balm). It's petroleum and paraben free too!

And I know my husband will use this Billy Jealousy cleanser - I think every one of the Billy Jealousy cleansers we get from Birchbox Man gets used immediately!

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Bison

Bison Made Double Wrap Bracelet - Value $40

My husband doesn't wear jewelry - but I think I'll keep this for myself! It's made with Hermann Oak leather, and you just cut the band to your desired length and then fasten the clip.

Verdict: We paid $20 for this box and received about $60 worth of product. I'm happy that every grooming sample they included was a decent size, and I got a bracelet for myself so I'm happy!

What did you get in your August Birchbox Man box?

I got a slightly different box. For the premium item, I got boxer shorts ($22 in seafoam green). They are listed as slim cut – and they are too small for me (wear a L in the July boxer briefs – but slim cut boxers that aren’t made from stretchy cotton just don’t work) so I will give to my brother. I actually would have rather had the bracelet.

I love the men’s boxes: I have gotten the J-fold card carrier, wooden headphones, v-neck undershirt and the boxer briefs. Each month the men’s box gets a nice premium item. The mens boxes are $20 MSRP (lots of coupons) but you get so much more. My wife gets the women’s ($10 ea?) but it really sucks. Basically a few smallish samples. I bought a sub. for her but won’t be renewing. We will look elsewhere for a woman’s box. I second the earlier comment – if they offered a $20 woman’s box – that was comparable to the men’s – I think they would be really great. As it is – Birchbox Man is great. Woman – not worth it at all.

Yup. I think I will cancel my sub after receiving my third weak box in a row. At this point, I have to if the profile is referenced at all.

Have there ever been any deals/coupons on men’s Birchbox subs? And does anyone know if you can review the products for points like with the women’s?

there was a details magazine promo code not too long ago… you can google “birchbox man promo codes” and see what comes up. usually it’s trial and error to see if they work. yes, you do get points for reviewing the items! i racked up 500 points very quickly and just used them yesterday for $50 off my order! plus, my husband lets me use most of the products 🙂 it really is a great box!

Thanks Ashley! I’ll look for those and keep checking this site. Is it bad if we get Birchbox man for our husbands so we can try out their products and get their points? 😉

Lynne

We received the bracelet as well. I stole it from my husband already!

Why oh why can’t BB make the women’s monthly box like this? I’d happily pay more to get better than foil and other tiny samples. It’s kind of odd that the men’s costs more and has nicer quality items included.
