These shades look pretty similar in the picture, but the polish on the left is actually a micro glitter, and the one on the right is a satin.

Square Hue Polish in Wallea

This shade is a high-gloss creme and I love it! I love all kinds of polish, but at the end of the day I think I get most excited about the more tame neutral colors. I think I will use the entire bottle of this one!

Verdict: I’ve been impressed with the formula of Square Hue polish, and I think it’s a good nail polish subscription for anyone who wants just nail polish each month. I probably will end up swapping one of my blue shades though since we just got a pale blue polish in the May POPSUGAR Must Have box too!

What do you think of the Square Hue June collection?

Has anyone had any experience with their customer service? I have sent two emails requesting the status of my order, and I have not gotten a response.

The blues look similar in the bottle but are very different on the nail the satin is a teal and the microshimmer is a lighter cornflower blue (it reminds me of the denim effects polishes from maybelline but with a much nicer formula.)
Wailea must just not suit my coloring because it looks to me like I painted my nails with cheese whiz. The formula though was very nice. All three polishes self-leveled and dried quickly.
I got this box for the promotional 5 dollar price and was very impressed and am tempted to keep this subscription even though it’s regular price is a bit spendy for me.
I thought the preview image on the site gave an accurate impression of the kind of colors to expect and with the ability to skip months you can avoid getting colors you would never wear.

I totally agree with this assessment. The tan color, Wailea just isn’t a good color for me (I am very pale.) The other two colors are lovely and are somewhat different, but not very stand out. I would have liked a third color in something other than teal regardless of sparkle and slight shade difference. I didn’t have the choice to pause, but in the future, I will be more likely to take that option if needed. ITs nice that its there.

I will swap you something for my bottle of Wallea! Not my favorite color.

I haven’t gotten my box yet, but I am not happy 🙁 I wasn’t crazy about the last two boxes I got – the free one from July 2013 which was ok, and the Rio one. I really liked the Amsterdam one, but did not get it. I wish they did not do two blues and these two blues are very much like the one one we got in the Pop Sugar box (which I like) and similar to ones I have gotten from Julep. I think I may need to trade or gift them. I may cancel my Hue subscription even though I do like their mission statement.

I finally received it and the Ala Moana blue is slightly darker and different from the other one. The photo here doesn’t quite capture it. So I revise my original concern above and I have decided I like it looking at it. They are prettier in person and I like the formula.

I just ordered my first box from Square Hue and I’m also bummed to see two blue polishes. I never, ever wear blue. 🙁

I ordered the box this month, and I am pretty sad they included to blue polishes that are very nearly the same with the exception of finish. I mean, how about a gorgeous sunset or floral/fruit color.
