I wanted this so bad, but talked myself out of it the first time . Yesterday I was at Ulta looking at a $21 Clinique chubby lipstick in red for $21 and put that back – so glad I did. I wear reds so this is a great deal, yes even with the shipping. A Nordstrom Rack just opened by my house, I don’t go in there often but am now curious if they have this in the store.

Being a redhead, I never risk buying reds because it takes me so long to find the PERFECT one to not clash with my hair or freckles. My drawers end up filled with reject colors too often and money is just wasted. Every time you posted this bag, I’ve longed for it but kept putting it off. No more! Instead of a safe color drugstore lip crayon, I can try out some amazing new brands and hopefully find the perfect red in the bunch for the same price.
I never check their other deals but I’m glad I did….I just justified paying shipping by ordering the kiddo some DC shoes for 50% off that he needs soon. I would have had to pay shipping regardless if I ordered the lip bag or not….right? 😉

A friend who works for Nordstrom told me a while back that if you wait it out, you can get all of their beauty bags for at least half off. And anything they don’t sell goes to their Rack stores. So it’s a gamble waiting but it usually pays off, and is a great deal even with shipping. I wish Hautelook would get with the program and at least offer 30 days free shipping like the rest of the flash sale sites….

I’m really thinking I will cancel ipsy too after this month. Its been exciting to get my surprise bags in the mail, but ultimately most of what they’ve sent me has been shoddy brands and products that I haven’t really used much. I can think of two products that I’ve discovered through them that I loved in a year and a half. That’s a lot of wasted $10 bills. :-\

Ipsy puts together a nice box, the bag is cute and usable for many things, and how can you beat 10 bucks? HOWEVER, their CEO should be fired and their business model revamped. You cannot sell ANY product, especially when there are dozens online similar, by giving customers vague promises of delivery, not knowing when you ship, and such. The concept is excellent, the delivery is poor. This is the 21st century, everyone can get anything instantly. To have a “WAIT LIST” without even a time frame is absurd. They act like it’s a private club and you are waiting on an elite list of Bilderbergers or something! They need to revamp the model, as this will put them out of business in 3 months. I don’t wish to see it, they are nice people. But if you want to SELL something, even BUSINESS must come before BEAUTY.

I bought one the first time and particularly loved the Lisi and the Laura Geller. Those two items make the purchase totally worth $17 with tax and shipping, so I got a second and will be putting a few things up for trade.
