What do you think of the June GlossyBox spoilers so far? (I think right now I'm most excited about that stars and stripes box!)

Have you been with Glossybox long and did they get your address right in the past? (I’ve had it for two months and no issues yet. But I am trying to figure out what it is that seems to be causing so many problems, so hopefully I can avoid it.)

Can anyone tell me when Glossy Box usually ships out?
Anxiously awaiting my 1st box:)

It’s anybody’s guess.

For example, I got two Glossyboxes in May. One, on May 8, was April’s box. A few weeks later, I got May’s box. If you look at their Facebook page, you’ll see all kinds of estimates and arrival dates.

In general, though, expect it towards the end of the month or the beginning of the next month (i.e., you might well get billed a second time before you receive your first box — not an issue with me, because I prepaid for a year since there was a REALLY good deal at the time).

I have decided that the way I will think about it is that instead of being really late, Glossybox will be the first box I receive in a month.

I got this subscription because I want the free Nioxin product. I got just the one box and it seemed the code was accepted. I didn’t see it ‘noted’ that I would get the free item anywhere though. I will not be happy if I needed a longer ‘subscription’ to qualify for the Nioxin.

I, too, get excited about cute boxes and packaging.

It’s so funny that people are commenting about that cute box. I signed up for my first (and what I thought would be my only) Glossy Box last month, because the Bergdorf deal seemed too good to pass up. But once I saw a pic of the June box, I knew I had to keep my subscription for at least one more month. I already know I’m going to want to hold onto the box to use for knick-knack type stuff.

I’m not overly excited by the two spoilers. I already have too much nail polish, and I don’t use hair spray. Hoping the other items are more to my taste, otherwise I will have spent $21 for an empty box. 🙂

I am excited about box color scheme more than spoilers like you too, Liz. I like Glossybox, and now am trying out Birchbox Man and Vip fabfitfun, thanks to you.

Yay – I hope you like all your new boxes! 🙂 (And glad I’m not the only one who is more excited about the box than the items!)

Speaking as someone who also has very long hair (though I do shorter layers all over, definitely recommend that; maintains length but gives more movement and volume). Your best bet is a teasing brush, like the Spornee. Spray before and after teasing and smoothing out the top and you’ll have volume on top!

Thanks for the idea. When I think “teasing,” I think of watching my mom do her hair when I was a kid in the 1980s…but I am sure there are more up-to-date (and less scary) YouTube videos with instructions (because I know nothing about doing hair, which is why it’s long and straight). I will look out for some of those and check out the brush you recommended.

If you find any good videos on how to do that without looking like they came from the 80’s, please post a link! I don’t know how to do anything with my hair! Long and straight and doesn’t hold color or curl!

Kristi

Yep…I agree! So far the pretty box is my fav by far. I got charged today for my box, so even though both the spoilers are duds for me so far…there is no turning back. 🙂

Maybe I’ll alternate my toes with the red and blue polishes (I don’t do nail art) IF (a big IF) I get my box by 4th of July.

Hmmm. I do not use any type of hair spray. I am wondering, however, if this would add a little lift. My hair goes all the way down to my waist and I usually wear it straight. But it is getting kind of weighed down. I don’t want to get it cut but if I could raise it at the top a little bit so it’s not plastered flat to my head, I’d like that. This product sounds like it *might* do that. We’ll see!
