This will be my third box for my 4 year-old niece. I’ve liked both so far. I’m saving them up for Christmas less the things that scream summer (which I send to her now). The item I was able to choose was the theme of Match Stack set. And being a mean aunt, I chose the educational “numbers” option versus the fun “animals”. She’ll thank me when she’s the President some day!

I always thought the aunt role was to send obnoxious noisy toys (because you don’t have to be around to listen to them).

In practice, I send gift cards and let my sister pick out toys/books/clothes for her kids because I really have no idea what sorts of things are appropriate for preschool-aged kids.

I knew about the phone because it was one of the choices I had for my son’s 2 year old box; we chose the camera instead. I have to say, I’ve not been overwhelmingly pleased with the boxes we’ve gotten so far. Some of the items have been great, while others were less than stellar.

I knew about the phone since that was one of the options I got to chose from for my son’s 21 month box. But honestly, the spoilers don’t look too exciting. Hope it’s a great box though!

How did you get to choose for your child’s box?

Agreed on it not looking too exciting. I knew about the Match Stack thing on the right, since it was a choice for my daughter’s 3-year-old box (they show it with the animals, but I picked a different one). I have no clue what the item in the upper left is, either! Still excited for the box, since it will just be our second one.
