Each beauty box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - May 2014 Lotion

Skinagain Vanish Lotion - FULL SIZE! Value $52

Wow - I was thrilled to see a full size high-value item in the bag this month! The lotion is all natural, paraben-free and fragrance-free, and I love that I have enough of it to actually see if it works!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - May 2014 Sun

Sevi Blue Yarrow Sea Salt Texturizer - 2.15 oz Value $4

Goddess Garden Organics Sunny Body SPF 30 Sunscreen - Sample

I was hoping this sea salt texturizer would smell like the ocean - it doesn't - but it still smells really good! It's the first all-natural sea-salt spray I've come across too - hopefully it works really well!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - May 2014 Perfume

Tallulah Jane Natural Perfume Vial - Value $2

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Lash Strengthening Mascara - Travel Size Value $9

I've sampled Tallulah Jane perfume before, but not this Halona scent, and I think it's my favorite!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - May 2014 Powder

Gourmet Body Treats Finishing Powder - FULL SIZE! Value $25

I thought this powder worked just as well as the Juice Beauty finishing powder I normally use. I was surprised that this was the full size version since it doesn't seem like a lot of powder, but this should last me a few weeks!

Verdict: I think this is the best Vegan Cuts Beauty Box I've ever received. The mix of full size/deluxe size/sample size products is great, and the value is amazing - over $90! Plus I think I'll use every single product this month!

What do you think of the May Vegan Cuts Beauty Box?

I recently decided to go green and I am ditching my birchbox and ipsy. I can’t make up my mind weather to get the vegan cuts box or the saffron rouge inner circle box. Unfortunately I can’t afford both so I have to choose. Could you help me make up my mind? Which one would you recommend more?

saffron rouge 🙂 —- The products are always nicely put together – there is a variety – customer service is great and can easily be contacted ( I’ve called a few times ), the value has been decent — I had vegan cuts, and canceled after 1 month. Based on the months after and the reviews I’m glad i did. – The items on vegan cut are interesting, yet I found some of samples to be to tiny, and I did not see the value as with saffron rouge. saffron rouge is a bit pricier yet to me its worth it. I also like Petit Vour. Great box, value seems to be there and there seems to be consistantly great products.

Thanks! That did help my decision. I like the vegan cuts shop, they have great deals. But in terms of getting high end products which are harder to find seems like saffron rouge wins it. I will have to check out petit vour though! 🙂

If you want to go with all natural beauty products I would recommend Saffron Rouge. Vegan Cuts tends to be all natural, but their guarantee is to be all vegan, so some products occasionally may contain ingredients you might not want. Hope that helps!

Yes that does help! Hopefully one day I will be able to get a good assortment of natural/vegan boxes. There are so many good ones out there!

I’m annoyed with them right now. They sent me tracking, but according to tracking the box was never picked up. So I emailed them and they said it was lost and is my address secure? Yes, my packages are signed and accepted by the office staff. You did not send the package. Lol.

So…. I finally received my box today, after they didn’t send it, and it was all leftover stuff. I’m so disappointed in them. The cream wasn’t soothing or vanishing like the card lists, but anti aging. My box was also missing the texturizing spray. I feel like they through a box of what was leftover for the month together and sent it to me. Very disappointing after how disappointing last month was. I’m not impressed.

I will say this though, their customer device rocks. They even emailed me on a weekend, so hopefully it’ll get resolved. 🙂

For the snack box, they never sent me tracking. But it did show up one day. I suppose that’s better than the problem you had.

Liz,

The sea spray hair mist from Lush smells just like the ocean/beach and is all natural. My absolute favorite salt spray – hands down.

I really liked this box, with the exception of the mascara. In 30 minutes it looked like I was wearing eyeliner, another hour later was mostly gone plus a hint of panda eyes, lol.

The perfume smells amazing!

The box seems better than last month. Not noticing any products for men. If I still subscribed ( I canceled after 1 month – last month ) I would only use 1 or 2 of the products, I’m finding myself thinking of resubscribing based on the value. If the value keeps up, I’ll will reconsider it.

This month’s box is MUCH better than last month’s. I too was a first time subscriber last month and canceled after one month because I was so disappointed in the selection of the items and overall value of the April box. I can’t even swap the men’s face masque and there’s no way my husband will put that on his face. What a waste. There’s no way I’m not going to resubscribe. I like consistency and I get that from Petit Vour, Saffron Rouge and Yuzen – three my favorite sub boxes!

Hey, ladies!

Just wanted to mention something…not that you asked, lol, but at first I was kind of ‘meh’ about the men’s facial mask. I had no one to give it to. However, I was out gardening last week and just felt sweaty/oily thanks to this crazy CA heat and I knew it was vegan/natural and decided to try it. I have to say–i LOVED it. It felt quite refreshing and made my skin feel so clean and soft. I liked it better than some ‘women’s’ masks I have tried.

Just thought I would pass that along:)

I know what you mean about swapping the stuff from last months box. I got lucky and someone was interested in it. When ever I looked at it I got annoyed so the first person who wanted it, got it. My husband also refused to use the mask. He likes some of the products I use, because the scents are neutral, yet there is no way he would ever use a face mask or a shower cap. – LOL! – I agree with you completely, I like consistancy and I also get Petit Vour, Saffron Rouge and I get Yuzen now when ever the new boxes come out I just buy one. Makes it easier that way on budgeting. — Even though I liked this vegancuts box better than the last one, the value at least for me would not be there since I’d only use 1 or 2 products. Have you signed up for goodebox? I get them every other month and so I far I like the box.
