Escape Monthly on sale!

Escape Monthly is on sale at Living Social! You can get one month for $29 or three months for $97 - and I just bought the 3-month subscription and they applied an extra discount automatically to my cart, making it only $87! (Coupon code EXTRA10).

(Check out my Escape Monthly reviews to see what you can expect to get each month!)

I recently canceled this box. I just bought the voucher and tried to redeem for a box & the site just keeps giving me errors telling me my reference has already been taken but my coupon is valid, also they make you enter your credit card for a re-occurring $49.95 subscription even though living social said it would not be reoccurring. A mess all the way around.. I am so upset with escape monthly. I am trying to get a refund from living social now.

Hi Trinity,

You’re getting that error because you’ve previously had an account with us. Please contact [email protected] and we’ll help you out!

Im a little confused on how living social works. It says promotional value ends August 15. Is that when it needs redeemed by, or does it have to be redeemed right away?

Liz Cadman

That means that after August 15th, your voucher will only be worth what you paid for it. So you have until then to redeem your voucher code and get the deal! Hope that helps!

Thank you. Just wanted to wait until after may 15, so I don’t get two california boxes.

Kate

I’m torn. I signed up to get May’s box with the 20% off for life coupon but I’d love to save more. I just don’t know if I will want to continue saving 20% or save more if I won’t be keeping the subscription.

Living Social has been sending me a lot of 20% and 25% off promo codes lately… I might try to wait this out and see if they send me a bigger discount.

I’ve been enjoying my TravelBox subscription, which is slightly cheaper ($26), and I had been thinking of cancelling Escape Monthly due to the expense, so getting a bigger discount would be nice and keep me subscribing!

If you sign up for Love With Food, a pop up appears that asks you which business you would like a credit for- Soap.com, Living Social, etc. I selected Living Social- it’s $10 off a $25 purchase. You can apply that to the Escape Monthly deal , making it only $19.

Does it have to start w may box or can it start w june since I already bought may?

Stacey

Mine says the voucher isn’t active until 5/15, so I’m sure you will be fine to use it for the June box 🙂

When is the cut off date for getting this months (may) box? If I really like it I might order more.

K was confused why the 3 months was more per month vs just one month. Its usually cheaper for longer time, their tactics confused me and only got 1 month box last week.

Thank you! I just multiplied 29 by 3 several times thinking I was missing something. I came here to see if I was nuts or something.

I went for the longer subscription factoring in the fact that the next two months would be $40 a month. Hope that helps explain my logic!

Thanks for posting this. I am horrible at math, and even I was scratching my head at that one! Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought this was off.

I’m not a huge fan of this box (I just am a voyeur of all subscription boxes), but I would never consider subscribing with such odd pricing.

“I just am a voyeur of all subscription boxes”

I am exactly the same way. Sometimes I get caught up in all the excitement and end up subscribing to things that are not the best fit for me, but I cancel those after a few months.

However, I come to this site and read reviews of even stuff I would never buy — many of the celebrity-curated Fancy boxes, any food box where there’s a risk of getting meat or gelatin (I’m a vegetarian), Golden Tote although their clothes are totally not my style, etc. And I’ve found a number of boxes I love here, too (Yuzen, Lip Factory, Ipsy, and Sample Society, among others).
