BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. It’s one of our favorite subscription boxes – our dog loves it, and we’ve gifted it to dogs in our extended family as well!

BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds)

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon - May 2014 Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included for the month.

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon - May 2014 Chicken

Plato Organic Chicken Dog Treats - Value $8

Our dog loves these treats - and they are made in the USA and organic so I'm happy too. (Sometimes it seems like it's easier to find our dog organic meat than to find it for ourselves at the grocery store!)

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon - May 2014 Toys

Chase 'n Chimp Play-It Amazing Knobble Ball - Value $13

P.L.A.Y. Carrot Toy - Value $15

Our dog prefers stuffed toys over plastic ones, so this carrot is a win, but we'll be gifting this amazing knobble ball to another pup!

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon - May 2014 Barkworthies

Apple Cobbler Snicky Snaks - Value $8

Barkworthies Chew – Value $3

Barkworthies chews have become somewhat of a staple in Barkboxes, and our dog looks forward to them every month!

Verdict:  We paid $17 for this box (6 month subscription) and received about $47 worth of items.  This is a great value box, and I love that the treats they include are always made in the USA (and usually organic and grain-free!). What was your pup's favorite item this month?

Can anyone tell me if you have to pay duty when shipping Bark Box to Canada?

I’ve been getting BB for 7 months for large dog. Mine just auto renewed for $19, next time if I can work it i’ll cancel and get a better deal by doing yearly. Although usually all my items are different from Liz’s box they are really great and look forward to receiving. We did receive the Apple Cobbler though and loved it…..uh I mean our dog loved it.

That coupon code didn’t work for me. It said “Ruh-roh! Couldn’t find coupon code 10PCTOFF” 🙁

I receive the Big Dog box – signed up for a year so I paid $14.20 for this box. I only had 4 items but one was valued at $12 and the other $16 including the chicken and apple snacks. Great Box! Have tried some other subs because I read BB had some china stuff in it but since then they are USA made. I came back to Bark Box and am happy. Mookie loves it.

We got the exact same box. My dog loves everything except that ball because he won’t touch anything that’s plastic! Love, love the quality of BarkBox. 🙂

Sneaky Burrito

It’s funny how dogs are different. I can ONLY give my dog plastic toys because she will rip anything else to shreds (and then swallow the shreds).

Wish I could get my dog something like this but she has such a sensitive stomach it will never work. I love that the treats are made in the USA; there’s been a lot of bad news lately about dog treats made in China and I wouldn’t want anyone to take that risk.

My little one LOVES the chicken treats too! The Apple Cobbler treats smell amazing, and the ingredients are healthier than most human cookies!
