Svbscription Review – Luxury Men's Subscription Box - March 2014 Box

Svbscription is a quarterly lifestyle subscription box for men. It’s very high-end ($300 a quarter), and their boxes seem to be cloaked in secrecy (I couldn’t find any examples of past or current boxes on their site). I would say this is the kind of box you get for the man who has everything.

This box I'm reviewing is V8 - Svbscription kindly sent me the box to review. (And yes, that is a wooden box!)

Svbscription Review – Luxury Men's Subscription Box - March 2014 Items

The Box: Svbscription

The Cost: $329 a quarter (They also offer aPremium Svbscription ($559 a quarter).

The Products: From Svbscription: “This service is intended for people who have a high appreciation for quality, design and luxury.  We work with a range of brands to deliver items that are unique or hard to find. We are looking for items that intersect design, culture, technology, apparel and entertainment.”

(This review is of the $349 Classic Svbscription box).

Make sure to add Svbscription to your subscription box list or wishlist and check out the Men’s Subscription Box Directory!

Svbscription Review – Luxury Men's Subscription Box - March 2014 Coasters

Marble Coasters by Daniel Emma

These marble coasters are stunning, and I love that they can be arranged to form a trivet too. (I always say I don't need any more coasters and then a subscription box company sends me the best coasters ever!)

Paul Marlow Cashmere Scarf

If you subscribed to the Premium box, in addition to this scarf you would also receive a bow tie and and neck tie.

Svbscription Review – Luxury Men's Subscription Box - March 2014 Glasses

Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert Hand Blown Whiskey Glasses

These glasses are all unique since they are hand blown - they are a perfect addition to our bar!

Svbscription Review – Luxury Men's Subscription Box - March 2014 Alcohol

Colorado Tin Cup Whiskey

This whiskey was a nice surprise (it showed up in a separate package we had to sign for about a week later). I love that the cap is also a tin shot glass!

Verdict: If you are looking for custom made high-design goods, I think Svbscription is an excellent subscription box, and like I said before, it's the perfect gift for the man who has everything!

This box was definitely fun for us to unbox and a very indulgent treat! Everything was exceptionally well-made. What do you think of Svbscription?

I have been receiving the boxes for two cycles now and the items they send are great, but I am not convinced of the value. I have the premium membership for $559 and the last box I received came with a Soren Rose table , body flask, Visibility metal cups, can of olive oil, Death & Co cocktail book ($30 on Amazon). (Party Edition)

The value is well below $559!

I have to say I agree. I also purchased the premium parcel and it looks like the only additional items you get are the book and a few extra cups. Not nearly worth almost 200 dollars more than the standard parcel. Also, my table came damaged which they fixed immediately but still. And finally, I’ve been seeing images of a different much more premium looking Soren Rose table that has almost string like spindles on it. Was this only sent to certain members. Not the happiest and I think I’m done with Svbscription after this.

I have to share because this is officially my favorite box, but I bought W2 by Svbscription, it’s the women’s version of their subscription and it’s amazing! It’s everything I hope that I hoped it would be. The themed was “escape” and I’ve been lost in this box for the last couple of hours. The value is also $731 and I think I paid $525 or around there. It included:
1 year Tablet Plus Membership
Notebook II by Imprimerie Du Marais
The Plant Journal issue 6
Travel Wallet by Benah
Beach Towel by Out of Office NYC
Fisheye 2 Voyager Camera by Lomography

Everything is gorgeous and I cannot wait to use my tablet membership!!

Love those marble coasters, so chic!! But too pricy of a sub =(

This sub is completely new to me — and gorgeous! I am so impressed. The cost of the box is serious, but totally warranted judging by the value of the items. Thanks for the discovery! (No coupon codes for this one, huh. Lol!)

Wow, that looks like a great box. I can see my boyfriend and I all of the items, except I would gladly take the Paris Review off his hands. For anyone that doesn’t know, the Paris Review is a literary magazine, not an actual guide to Paris. So it’s filled with fiction, non-fiction, and poetry (something I love as a literary buff). For a box that is custom made along with a pretty impressive presentation, I think it’s worth it. I love the occasional indulgence.

I love the concept, but um not a fan of the execution. This would be right up my husband’s alley, except he doesn’t drink. :/ I wish it was curated around baseball season or something having to do with the season changing. My husband would also never use the Paris guide or a cashmere scarf in Spring. Great idea with exclusive fancy box, but that is just a meh curation for $300.
