No More Dirty Looks Quarterly Subscription Box #NDL10

No More Dirty Looks is a eco-friendly beauty subscription box from Quarterly. I’m a little obsessed with all things natural and organic when it comes to beauty and makeup products, so I was thrilled when I found this subscription!

No More Dirty Looks Quarterly Subscription Box Review #NDL10 Letter

Each Quarterly box comes with a letter from the curator(s) detailing the items they selected for that shipment.

No More Dirty Looks Quarterly Subscription Box Review #NDL10 Skincare

Pacific Face Serum - 8 ml Value $37

Pacific Face Oil - 5 ml Value $18

Pacific Mist - 1.5 oz Value $30

I'm already a little obsessed with this Pacific Mist - the scent reminds me a little of the Bobbi Brown beach scent, but all natural! The letter included details why they wanted to share this natural skincare line with subscribers. MV Organics is one of the few natural beauty lines that has done their own clinical trials to quantify the results of their skincare line, and I must admit after reading the letter I'm excited to try this skincare routine. Hopefully the samples are large enough to actually be able to see results!

Verdict: When I first opened this box I was a little disappointed to see that there was only one brand featured. (I think it's always a pretty big risk when a subscription box does this because if you don't like the brand then the entire box is a miss for you). On the flip side, this is a natural skincare line that is a new discovery for me, so I'm happy that I'll be able to try out a trio of their products.

The value is pretty good for this box - I paid $50 and received about $85 worth of products, (but then again when I pay $50 for a box I want full size products!)

So, basically I don't know how to feel about this box! What did you think of the latest No More Dirty Looks Quarterly Box?

I have to say that I cancelled quite a few of my Quarterly boxes. I just didn’t think the value was even CLOSE to being able to justify the cost.

I’m finding (based on your reviews, not my personal experience! I’m glad you are the guinea pig) that many of the Quarterly boxes are a little lackluster. It seems like unless the curator has some pretty awesome connections (Nina Garcia), the contents can be underwhelming for the price.

I’m also a bit nervous about the value and/or variety of the Quarterly boxes compared to some of the others. I like the sound of a lot of them, but viewing past boxes sometimes changes my mind, which is why I really appreciate that they show the history of the boxes and I love getting your input!

Liz: -Thank you for your review. I’m always interested in more natural, organic, boxes. Looking at this box, I’m glad I did not get it, I’d be disappointed. Bla boring, not creative. All the same brand in a box, that was not cheap to begin with. This is the same reason why I can’t see myself subscribing to quarterly or new mystery boxes. Especially not ones over $25.00. For me the first one or two boxes will decide whether or not I keep a subscription or cancel completely and try another company. — Hopefully the next box you get will be more interesting. Looks like I’m sticking to my 2 favorite beauty boxes for now: Julep and Saffron Rouge. Both seem to be consistantly interesting and good value.

I agree Liz. That is why new Quaterly boxes scare me a little. Some have been AMAZING but some curators have been very disappointing. Maybe they should find a way to keep things a little more moderated or charge a bit less for certain boxes like they charge more for better boxes like Nina Garcia.
