Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Little Pony

My Little Pony Class of Cutie Marks Set - Value $8

I was surprised to see mixed reviews of this set on Toys R Us's website, but it seems like people aren't happy with the characters selected for this set - not the quality of the toy. I think my cousin will love this set!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Smurf

The Smurfs Grumpy Plush - Value $8

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Playmobile

Playmobile Mystery Figure - Value $5

Mickey Sticker - Value $1

I remember playing with Playmobile sets when I was little (one of my friends had the Playmobile mansion that I was super jealous of), but I guess our parents must have put everything together because I had a tricky time now putting this little figure together! I couldn't even get the hair piece to attach!

Baby Filly Princess - Value $8

I think these toys are popular in the UK (intel gathered from 1 minute of googling). And there are 85 to collect!

Verdict: We paid $19.99 for this box and received about $30 worth of toys. I think this is a very fun subscription for girls, and I'm excited to share all these toys with my cousin!

What did you think of the April NerdBlock Junior box for Girls?

Gotta say, I love the idea of a jr NerdBlock but not that I have to pick between girls and boys versions for my daughter. There are parts of both that she’d love (marvel and MLP, for example)! If they came out with a gender-neutral junior version, we’d be subscribers for sure.

I totally agree. I don’t like the idea that there has to be toys for girls and toys for boys.

I have to say I’m glad someone else is having trouble with the hair [of the playmoblie toy] I can’t figure it out & my 6 year old isn’t happy with it lol She also got Grouchy Smurf & since her little brother [3yo] LOVES the smurfs she asked him to trade her smurf for his mustache, sweet.

I loved this box! I added the my little pony figures to my daughter’s easter basket. We got a Winnie the pooh sticker and a different smurf. I’m saving the playmobil toy and the other packaged toy for a rainy day!

We received similar items- the only difference is that we were sent Clumsy Smurf and the sticker was of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. My daughter loved the box this month- good variety.

I loved Grouchy Smurf! I got the princess playmobile toy, it was very complicated to put together with the limited directions.

I got the exact same Playmobil figure and couldn’t get the hairpiece to attach either. I thought ours was defective. I wonder if there is some trick to getting it to work?
