Le Metier De Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Review – April 2014 Powder

Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Pressed Powder in Shade 2 - Value $75

This is the second time now they've sent out skin-tone specific makeup, and I find it a little surprising and frustrating. (There was no questionnaire when you signed up about your skin-tone, so I'm sure there are some subscribers who can't use the April box at all). They might be fixing this if you contact them - I'm not sure.

Le Metier De Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Review – April 2014 Compact

Now that I have finished my rant, I can comment on the actual product! (When you flip the compact it also has a sponge applicator for the pressed powder). The powder itself is a little dark for my skin-tone now, but will work well in the summer. The finish of this powder is great in my opinion - it doesn't look like you are wearing powder at all. It has about a medium about of coverage, and I can see myself using this and Supergoop CC Cream all summer long!

Verdict: This box cost me $29 and I received a $75 product so I'm very happy with the value of this box. This subscription has definitely been a great way for me to sample full size version of Le Metier De Beaute items and find my favorites! Do you subscribe to Beauty Vault VIP? What did you think of the March box?

I still haven’t found a swap partner for my medium concealer. I’m afraid that everyone got medium. I find powder more forgiving than concealer. If it’s too dark, then it’s just not going to work! I’m really afraid to swatch the concealer even with a spatula because then it will be totally unswappable.

Man, if I was a woman of color I would be really irrate about receiving this and not being able to communicate that I am not a white person. Can you imagine? Especially for the amount of money that it costs?

Kinda…racist?

I almost signed up with them but decided to pass after your reviews! So thanks much! They did ask when I registered (before I almost paid — I was that close) my skin tone but I’m VERY fair. I don’t think their colors would work for me and it’s actually less money and hassle to just buy MAC at the counter in the color I need. Thanks again!

I’m also very fair, and I do not spend time outside in the summer (family history of skin cancer has me scared). I use the same shade of foundation all year long. Well, and I don’t usually have $350 sitting around. I think my most expensive subscription is Lip Factory, though, and that’s only $264 a year (I pay month-to-month, which is a bit easier on the wallet).
