GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April

GoodeBox is a natural and organic beauty box. (Well, usually it is all beauty products - this month they mixed it up a bit).

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items in the box, and some brands also include coupon codes for Goodebox subscribers!  (They check off which items you received).

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Items

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Juice Beauty

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream in Natural Glow - .17 oz Value $4

Seventh Generation Boosts Serum - Sample Value $1.50

I'm used to the brand Seventh Generation for green cleaning products and paper towels, but I had no idea they have a new beauty line! This serum is very moisturizing and smells good too!

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Socks

PACT Super Soft Organic Cotton Ankle Socks - Value $8

People's Towels - Value $6

I will use both of these items, but I'm used to only getting beauty items from GoodeBox, so these items were a bit of a let down - I want my full size products to be makeup!

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Toms

Tom's Botanically Bright Whitening Toothpaste - Value $6

Tom's is my toothpaste of choice, so I'll definitely use both this toothpaste and the coupon!

Verdict: I paid $18 for this box and received about $25 worth of products. I'm disappointed that the beauty items were the two small samples in this box - I'm hoping that next month they go back to all beauty products with some full size or deluxe size makeup!

What did you think of GoodeBox this month?

Hi Liz,
I’m so torn! I’m looking for opinions on eco friendly beauty subscriptions. I’ve been researching GoodBox, Safron Rouge Inner Circle, and Yuzen. I am just begining my journey into eco friendly products. I am wondering which would most consistently provide the best value for the cost, the largest overall samples sizes (so I can REALLY KNOW if I want to buy a full size), the best overall quality of the contents, and the subscription that offers the most usable real world products. I know any given subscription has its hits or misses; Im just looking for the one most generally offering the things im looking for. Any advice, tips, or suggestions? I appreciate it!

Given your criteria, I think you’ll be very happy with either Saffron Rouge Inner Circle or Yuzen. The only issue with Yuzen is that they are quarterly, so if you want a natural beauty box every month, Saffron Rouge Inner Circle is the way to go.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks Liz! I don’t really mind that Yuzen is quarterly. Your thoughts definitely helped! Actually a quarterly sub would probably allow me to still take advantage of the one off limited edition boxes, from other subs, that are so tempting! Thanks again 😀

Liz: Now I want to subscribe to Yuzen. Have the values been consistent? I like to have the approximate retail values to be at very least 30% higher than the actual cost just in case I don’t like some of the items.
Are there any coupon codes or promotions you that you know of for Yuzen? — Thank You =v= 🙂

I like this box, I’m more into beauty verses make up. So much so I just signed up for GoodeBox for every other month :). Even though the value is a bit low, the items seem practical in it.

Liz: Have you gotten a vegan cuts box this month? I got mine a few days ago…..I was bla on it, the value was low and the only thing I could see myself using was a $0.50cent sample.

I just got my Vegan Cuts beauty and snack boxes today and haven’t gotten a chance to go through them yet. I’ll be posting a review soon though!
