Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Each box also has one featured designer that typically has the most expensive item in the box. This month it is Melie Bianco.

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Handbag

Mattie Bag by Melie Bianco - Value $80

This bag is actually listed for $95 on the Melie Bianco site, but I think Social Bliss listed the value as $80 since this bag didn't come with the shoulder strap that you would get if you bought the purse from Melie Bianco. (It's kind of killing me that it's missing the strap since I need all my purses to be able to fit over my shoulder!)

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Purse

It is an absolutely adorable bag though! I believe there are two variations in color you could get this month: Ivory or Pink. I'm happy I got the ivory version!

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Lining

And the polka dot lining is super cute and has tons of pockets and zipper compartments.

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Headband

Flourishing in Florals Headband - Value $14

Good news - you can remove the bow on this headband. It definitely makes it more wearable for me!

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Brush Set

Eco-Chic Beauty Brushes Set - Value $25

I love having backup makeup brushes on hand, so these were an immediate win for me!

Social Bliss Style Box Review – March 2014 Soap

Avon Care Deeply Lip Balm - Value $1

South of France Lemon Verbena French Milled Bar Soap - Value $1

I love the lemon scent of this soap - and it's free of parabens, phthalates, etc!

Verdict: This month's box has a value of just over $120! Even though every item hasn't been a hit for my personal style or preferences with this subscription, in general I'm very happy I subscribed, and you can tell that a lot of thought and curation goes into each box. I love the style of the items included this month too - what do you think of the March Social Bliss Style Box?

Coming back to comment on this box again, it was that good. I was able to swap for the ivory/bone-colored bag and I absolutely adore it, it is perhaps my favorite subscription item since I started subscription boxes Sep 2013. I’m amazed and so grateful I was able to get my hands on it, and I’ve gotten many compliments. My swapper included the strap but I carry it like a briefcase, it’s really elegant and chic. I still have the blush pink bag if anyone wants to trade their black crossbody. Social Bliss hit a home-run with this box.

I know everyone is not impressed with the value of the Avon balm, but I’ve been using it for YEARS and it really is the best I’ve tried. It feels very light and non-waxy, and makes a great base for a lipstick you may have lying around that’s too bright or dark… it makes a great lip stain effect.

Can someone post a link to where we can buy the strap from social bliss?

I got mine yesterday. I don’t mind the avon lip balm but it looks like they were getting another lip balm and ended up having to swap it out as my style card shows a different name of lip balm. Kinda wish I had gotten the pink but not sure its worth paying shipping to swap. And not having a strap is killing me too. Think Ill pay $4 so Ill actually carry the darn thing. The way that it is just won’t work for how I have to use purses and carry a child. All cute stuff tho.

I noticed that too. But then I realized that is the French words or name on that lip balm. baume pour les lèvres = lip balm in French. I feel more cultured learning that. Paris here I come!

I was pretty happy with this box. I received the pink handbag and it’s a very pretty pastel mauve type pink, perfect for spring. While it’s too small for an everyday bag for me, I prefer large bags for all my junk, it’s definitely a cute bag that I’ll use occasionally. It did feel rather weird to receive a handbag without the strap, however for the price of the box, I’m just fine with it.

I was happy to receive the brushes as well, I have tons of mu brushes and always happy to snag more!!

Almost nailed it, I want the ivory purse but got the blush pink purse. The floral headband print is pretty (and I’m very picky) for days at the beach, and both the lemon verbena soap and lip balm smell lovely. =) Waiting to swap my blush pink purse for an ivory one, then I’ll be happy.

Oh, I’m also swapping the brush set.

This was my first Social Bliss box, and I LOVED it! I think I almost squealed out loud when I saw the purse, I was so excited (though I’m glad to hear that SB is offering the strap for 4 bucks, because I agree with everyone else that not having it will probably drive me crazy). The only thing I was “meh” about was the headband, and that’s only because I don’t wear headbands. Well, that and the lip balm, because I used to sell AVON, so I have enough tubes of lip stuff to last a lifetime. Still, I was really happy with my haul. I think Social Bliss is my new favorite subscription box!

It’s actually a pretty awesome lip balm. I’ve used it before and like it better than Carmex when my lips are super dry. Considering it came in a box where one item was worth double the box price, it doesn’t bother me a bit. I think of it like a Birchbox find – a little extra.

I loved everything in the box, for the third straight month! I got the blush-pink bag and it’s fabulous. Ditto the head wrap. It is like a toned down version of the FabFitFun Turbands (which I ended up buying directly since the other box spoilers didn’t excite me). Word of warning though – be aware of Social Bliss’s billing policies and cycle. They generally charge for the following month before shipping the current one. I had unsubscribed to test a different sub back in mid Feb (Feb 16) and they billed me anyway Feb 24 for the March (this) box. They did offer to accept a return in my situation (though I thought they accepted returns, period; it’s interesting to hear they changed their policy on returns in just the third month in business). Billing happens as early as the 21st, just FYI!

So glad I subscribed to this box! Haven’t gotten mine yet, but it’s on its way!

I loved this box. I subscribe to Popsugar, FFF and a few other style boxes and this is a great one! Liz, not getting the should strap is driving me crazy too!

Just a tip, I emailed SocialBliss because I thought they accidentally didn’t send me the shoulder strap, and they said they’ve gotten some comments on that, and if I was interested, they would send me the strap from the designer for an additional $4, free shipping and handling.

Thanks – I’m going to have to do that! 🙂

Glad I’m not the only one – I always feel bad venting in reviews! 🙂

Me three! I opened my box and immediately came here to see if you had reviewed it and if you had a strap in yours. It’s is driving my crazy, but at least I know I am not alone.

I would not buy a single thing in this box myself, but I am tickled as pink as my new purse over what is in it. I am really enjoying this subscription so far! (Started on the second box).

Jess

I signed up for this after seeing reviews for the February box, which looked awesome. Unfortunately none of the items are really my style. I got the pink purse (it actually looks more peach to me.) In case anyone is wondering, Socialbliss no longer accepts returns on these boxes.

Jess, I’ll accept your “return.” If you are unhappy with your box, I’ll buy it from you. Those colors look great on me and I love anything lemon scented. Not really interested in makeup brushes, but the rest of it is perfect.

WOW! Love the purse–I would die for the pink one. Every single thing is this box is a BIG win for me, bummed that I missed it.

These Style Boxes keep getting better and better. The first box was a major disappointment for me as it was very tacky and I couldn’t use anything in it. I forgot to cancel, but was pleasantly surprised by the next one. The February box was a big 180, and was very high quality. I loved the scarf, the wallet, and the nail polish. Some of the other accessories I still didn’t care for.

This box is my favorite yet. I got the Pink Purse, which I’ll use all the time. I always need makeup brushes and these ones are very soft. The headband is very cute, and the soap and lip balm are very nice. I really can’t wait to see what they do next.
